St Mary’s Bed & Breakfast

Our hosts were absolutely wonderful, as was their fabulous house. A perfect , quiet location only a very short walk into the centre. We really did feel very welcome. It was actually a joy to stay with James and Barbara.

Lovely quiet place, couple that owned it were great providing a history of the building and couldn’t have done more to help. Breakfast was great and I managed to get a lot of work done during my stay.

The hosts of the Bed & Breakfast were absolutely friendly and helpful; always thinking ahead with an eye for the details and very accomodating. The breakfast was especially great! There were different types of bread/toast, a selection of croissants/sweet pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, different yoghurts, porridge, muesli/cornflakes, juices, milk, coffee etc. and lots of fruit. We got the impression that a lot of thought was put into hygiene, i.e. keeping everything fresh. The room we lived in had nice furnishing that reminded us of “the olden days“, great atmosphere for a stay in a town with a lot of history. It was clean and had an extra radiator in case we got cold.

The indoor plumbing of the water (for example when we took shower) was a bit loud, but not majorly disturbing.
