The Ostseebad Sellin is located east of an extensive coastal forest (the Granitz) on the connection to the peninsula Mönchgut in the southeast of Ruegen. Another special feature is that Sellin is located on the Baltic Sea and Selliner See, which is connected on the west side of Mönchgut on the Bay of Having with the Greifswalder Bodden. Sellin is next to Binz and Göhren the most important resorts on Rügen.
