About this house rental

The fully renovated flat offers all mod cons, tasteful décor,148 TV channels, free Internet access, a large loggia with patio furniture, and a view of the sea and Europe's highest cliffs. It is set in a wonderful park with a 25-m pool —supervised in July and August and open 1st May to 30th September —, two tennis courts, and a clubhouse with table tennis.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the announcement. It is well-kept, tidy, clean, and provides everything you need (including rackets for table-tennis, or beach-parasol). The 2nd bedroom does not have a window. It is located in a nice older compound with pool and other amenities. The table-tennis amenities are a bit run-down. The compound sits at the top of Cassis with a 15 minute steep walk down to the Bestouan beach. Towels and bed-sheets are not provided by the well-organized and nice host but can be ordered in advance for an extra fee. We really enjoyed our stay in Cassis but in hindsight we should have brought some swim-shoes. If you arrive by public transport keep in mind that Cassis station is well out of town and getting around using only public transport sometimes requires patience because of delays or skipped bus connections.

Lovely apartment in a quiet complex, a short (though steep!) climb up from Cassis (~15 minutes). There's a quite large pool, water is not too cold. Nearby indoors are pingpong tables. There's a tennis court, but we didn't try it. The apartment is two bedrooms, with a beautiful view on to Cap Canaille. We found the apartment very well stocked, induction stove. The beds were reasonably comfortable. Communication was prompt. Jacques, who manages the property, quickly replaced a fan when it broke down and was very helpful. All in all, this is a great place at a reasonable price -- highly recommended.

"The apartment is situated in the pleasant residence with a big pool and the parking place in the calm part of Cassis. It’s very comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped accommodation with everything needed for perfect holiday. In the apartment there is also lots of useful information and books. We loved the large terrace with amazing view over Cap Canaille and the sea which is especially beautiful in sunrise. It is possible to reach the sea and many restaurants in the nice port of Cassis in 10-15 minutes by foot also the famous Calanques is in walking distance from the apartment. The owner Jean Francois is very helpful, he answered all our questions very quickly and fully, there is very good organization of a meeting and departure. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend this apartment."

We have just returned from a week at M Roville's very pleasant apartment in the Terre Marines complex in Cassis. It is exactly as depicted in the photos - very bright, clean and comfortable. We found the bed to be a little uncomfortable but that is a personal thing. The linens and towels provided were good quality. The kitchen is very well equipped, if lacking somewhat in counter space - this is only a problem if you love to cook, as we do! We managed, however, and enjoyed several lovely meals on the patio with a view of the Med and Cap Canaille which is spectacular in the evening. All the amenities listed were available and in good working order with complete instructions for use. The Terre Marine complex itself is very nice and well maintained with lovely landscaping. The pool and tennis courts are first class (would have liked the pool to be available a little earlier than 10am, however). 10-15 min walk into Cassis - bit of a pull up the hill coming back! M Roville was very pleasant and easy to deal with and everything from the contract to the deposit transfer was handled professionally. The agent on site was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday and Cassis is a beautiful and picturesque little town. There is a good local fruit and veg roadside market just out of town, on the road to Carnoux, and 2 good supermarkets in Carnoux itself. The local marche provencal in Cassis on Wednesday is one of the best we have been to. Marseille is within easy reach on the beautiful Gineste road.

Further to my previous review, I would say the apartment would be a very tight squeeze for 4-5 people. We found it perfect for the 2 of us. Perhaps 2 adults and 2 small children but more than that would not be comfortable.

We stayed for one week with our two children who loved the pool. It has a guard and three palms if you like to have some shadow. The lovely harbour and the beach are within 15 minutes reach. It was nice to have breakfast in the loggia enjoing the great view over the bay. Absolutely recommandable.

Organising this holiday was very easy from England. We communicated via email. Questions were answered rapidly. Organising payment was uncomplicated. Communication with the person on site was easy. The apartment itself was well equipped for a family with children aged 8 and 10 years. The apartment complex is perfect for a family with a lovely big swimming pool, tennis courts and pool tables. The location in Cassis is perfect for access to the lovely town and beaches. We used the car once to go to the supermarket. We will be booking next year!

"My husband and I visited this property for two weeks from May 26-June 9th. We loved every minute we were there. The view is amazing and the property is within 15 minutes walking of the multiple beaches, the start of the calanque hikes, as well as the center of town and the pier. One of our favorite activities was sitting on tne porch and looking our over the bay.In addition, beside from amazing cycling routes that can be accessed directly from the property without worry of too much traffic...other cycling routes are within an hour or so's drive from cassis. It is also within easy access of destinations such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, St. Tropez, etc... The flat itself is perfect with amenities such as a washing machine and dishwasher. The first time my husband and I went to Cassis we fell in love with it and this flat was the perfect place to enjoy it a second time. I would highly recommend this flat to anyone who wants to visit Cassis or the south of France in general."

die Ferienwohnung war schön eingerichtet und großzügig für 3 Personen mit einem gemütlichen Balkon und ein großes schönes Bad. Das 3. Zimmer hat allerdings kein Fenster. Die kurzen Weg zum Strand,in die Calanque und zur Bushaltestelle haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Alles in allen ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Nous avons séjourné à 6 (2 adultes, 3 enfants et 1 bébé) une semaine en avril dans cet appartement, et si nous devions retourner à Cassis, nous le relouerions. Pratique, assez bien placé, bien équipé, avec une assez belle vue. Seul bémol : un ménage convenable, mais qui ne conviendra pas aux gens maniaques. Attention : beaucoup de marches pour y accéder (pas pratique avec une poussette).

La résidence et l'appartement sont très agréables. La piscine surveillée était un passage obligé pour nos enfants (qui ont pu profiter de cours particuliers de natation !). Ce qui frappe le plus dans le charmant appartement, c'est sa vue exceptionnelle, et le sentiment de vivre mi dedans mi dehors grâce à sa terrasse bien abritée. L'appartement est admirablement équipé et décoré, Rien ne manque (y compris un incroyable accessoire pour faire de la mayonnaise en 30 secondes pour accompagner les délicieux fruits de mer dont nous nous sommes régalés). Connexion Internet, literie irréprochable, nombreux ouvrages sur cette belle région de Provence... Nous n'avons eu qu'un regret... celui de devoir partir au bout d'une semaine baignée de soleil et de calme.

Nous sommes venus début août avec nos 2 jeunes enfants, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour. L'appartement est très bien équipé et très adapté pour une famille de 4 personnes. La loggia reste fraîche malgré les températures très chaudes du mois d'août, ce qui est appreciable. La résidence est très bien entretenue et agréable (piscine 25 m et 2 tennis). C'est a 15 minutes à pied du centre ville et de la plage, mais attention, au retour, ça grimpe ! Mais c'était a la portée de notre fils de 3 ans. Sinon, le propriétaire est très disponible par mail et le monsieur qui nous a accueilli sur place très agréable également. Bref, je recommande !

Nous avons séjourné une semaine à trois dans cet appartement début juin 2010 qui est très bien équipé. Un seul bémol concernant les matelas des lits gigognes qui étaient un peu trop mous pour des adultes. La résidence est à 15 mn à pied du centre ce qui est très intéressant dans une ville où les parkings sont très vite saturés et chers. A recommander sans hésitation.
