Jazepuri-Jaze 2 run by Zack. He does everything to accommodate his guests and make them happy. I stayed there 8 days and not regretted about choosing this homestay for my trip. Zack is very friendly and helpful for his guests. Place is away from main activity for the tourists ,but it’s not a big problem ,it’s what I like . You can always book the Grab ,which is not very expensive or take a boat to cross the river on another side and you will be right in the middle of the action. As for me I used the bicycle to go there, which was provided by the owner. If you have a car or motorbike it’s not a problem at all to get to the center of the city. There are two restaurants nearby and also supermarket, it’s about 5 minutes walk to the restaurant and 10 minutes to supermarket. Place provides water dispenser for hot and cold water and coffee and tea for the guests. You can use the kitchen if you’re in the mood for cooking, it has everything for that but not microwave, only gas stove and electric oven. Don’t miss the trip to the farm, the village of local tribe and side seeing of orangutan ,you will love it ,its fan to collect local exotic fruits ( which you can take with you)and swim in the local river . And in the end you will have a nice lunch of local cuisine in the middle of the jungle. I would suggest to spend a couple nights over there, in the local home stay, the owner will provide you with her cooking. All of that will be provided if you ask Zack. Also place has own laundry machine with detergent, you can use it at any time and dry it on the roof, which has a beautiful view of local environment. In the end of my stay Zack ride me to the airport it was very nice of him. I am planning to come back to Zack next year and I’m sure it will be as nice as a first time
You will hear the sound of the rooster and Muslim prayer, but it happens in any Muslim country you visit, ask Zack for ear plugs he will provide it for you.

The host was helpful, caring, and easy to talk with. He helped with everything he could. The village is north of the river, calm, and different to the south side. People arr super friendly. The homestay was old-style, relly connected to the house, a full kitchen, water, coffee. Fridge. Very comfortable.
The area is not served by buses. You need to cross the river by boat or walk 35 minutes or take a Grab to and from the bridge. The boat stops around 6pm or during rainstorms when its too dangerous to cross. There are roosters in the village and a muezzine with some days a sermon. If you are a light sleeper, use earplugs.

Very comfortable and clean. Lovely, friendly owner. I enjoyed taking the nearby water taxi to central Kuching. Some good nearby restaurants.

The host, Zak, is excellent. Very friendly, helpful, with a great heart. He provided me with all the information about where to go, what to do, and he also offered some tours in beautiful places like the Bengo Dam and the caves. The location is good, very close to the waterfront, which can be reached on foot and then by jetty (only 1 RM! Last ride: 6 pm - afterwards you either take a grab or walk about 30 min until the Darul Hana bridge). It's very safe and the people are incredibly friendly. I was stopped on the street by little children who greeted me and asked for my name! The rooms are comfortable, and the cats are lovely!
If you come from a Western country, expect some cultural adjustment. Just be open, respectful, and curious, and the doors will open to you. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay longer (7 nights), otherwise I would have spent months here!
