Heated pool, Jacuzzi '35 ° 'house with panoramic views of medieval city

A beautiful and spacious immaculate house with everything you need, a short stroll downhill into Sarlat, the most incredible medieval town where you cross the road and feel like you’ve stepped back in time to a magical place. Visiting with our teenage son who loved the space downstairs. Pool area was fabulous, a sun trap, and the jacuzzi just lovely on the cool days. We had temperatures ranging from 14-32degrees in a week, hot sun and heavy rain, but plenty to do in the area and very easy access from Sarlat. Kitchen was very well equipped, top of the range equipment and bbq a bonus. Breakfast and dinner on the balconies outside with a view over Sarlat. Aircon lovely upstairs and fans in the bedrooms. Maite our fabulous host gave us a very warm welcome and we appreciated the fresh figs, local wine and candied nuts! We really can’t fault anything and would recommend without hesitation. Will miss the beautiful house and town but hope to come back! Wow what a lovely house, everything you need is provided. We had a fantastic week.Location is perfect for exploring Sarlat and surrounding area.Hosts were great and very helpful.We will definitely be back.

Close to the medieval city, easily walkable in around 10 mins. House has everything you need including plenty of outside areas and a great swimming pool. Very clean and well appointed

Four adults stayed at the house for one week, in June 2018.The house is a newish build, circa 1980, located in a very quiet part of Sarlat, with a couple of houses close by. It is extremely well equipped, with living and sleeping areas located both on the ground floor and the first floor. The first floor living area is air conditioned, a must in the hotter months. As you would expect WiFi is provided, with TVs upstairs and downstairs, which received mainly french/german channels plus Sky news. In addition, the first floor is enhanced by a large veranda with tables/chairs, which provides discrete spaces either to welcome the morning sun at breakfast time or to avoid the sun at midday or just to provide islands of solitude for reading etc.The outside has the heated pool together with the jacuzzi. Jacuzzi on a coolish day and the pool on a warm day . . . perfect! There is also an outside dining area with a huge sunshade, should you need it . . . and you probably will in the summer months. Additionally there is an area for sitting/relaxing near the pool, again complete with sunshade. (Cushions would be nice tho' for these plastic wicker chairs?)There is sufficient off-road parking at the house for 2 cars but there is additional space should you need it on the small square opposite the house. The parking is under trees so cars can remain relatively cool.The house is only a 10 minute walk from the medieval centre of Sarlat, which makes the house a superb base. (Be aware that the house is on a hill, so add 5 minutes to the return journey!) No need to bother with parking. (most of parking in Sarlat appears to be "payant"). Despite visiting last year we still enjoyed simply having a walk into town and having a meal in the centre, we didn't get bored with that, interspersed with a couple of BBQs. There are many places you can select to visit, dependent upon the weather e.g. a boat or canoe trip on the Dordogne from La Roque Gajeac or the chateau (castle) at Beynac, both only short distances from the house.Behind any property is a requirement for an "ace" team to welcome you, to see to any arising needs whilst you are there and to undertake the necessary maintenance on the pool, jacuzzi, watering the plants etc. M. Olivier Trémouille & Marie-Thé were once again superb hosts and we thank them both for enhancing our stay.
