The magic of Rempart Cottage, This impeccably styled, highly unusual house is absolutely perfect for bringing family and friends together for a truly memorable getaway or very special celebration. The ultimate year-round getaway, Rempart Cottage is nestled at the foot of the ramparts of the medieval city of Carcassonne in the oldest part of the Barbacane, with two bedrooms and one bathroom and a large terrace with garden and dog-friendly facilities.
Inside, you will discover an air-conditioned cottage where no expense has been spared and no detail has been overlooked, with exquisite furnishings, linen and decoration. The kitchen is simple and well equipped. The kitchen is complemented by a place to have breakfast or a light lunch and a sitting area with television.
Upstairs, you'll find a king-size bedroom with cosy cushions and plaids, ideal for lingering in bed a little longer in the morning. There is also a study area and the bathroom. On the second floor, there is an attic with these two single beds, ideal for children. The stairs can be difficult for people with reduced mobility.
There's a charming terrace and garden for a lazy afternoon or a spot of holiday reading, where you can enjoy the sunshine and tranquillity. Access is via the garage

Located just at the foot of the old city, you have all the amenities, complete with washer, and private garden. Wonderful helpful hosts. Situated on a charming, quiet street, you will find parking within a very short walking distance. Bikes available for borrow.

The cottage was great typically French rustic but had all the necessary amenities. It was very comfortable and the terrace was really great. Location was good only a five minute walk to the Medieval City and a few minutes walk in the other direction to a couple of shops for our french bread, cheese and wine! Dominique and Tom were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. Maggie, Lynda and Maureen.

We were a family of 5 and we spent a lovely time in this cosy home which is just next to the entrance of the Cite. It was 2 minutes on foot into the Cite, I could not believe our luck of finding such a rental. The view of the Cite from so close is just breathtaking. The hosts Dominique and Tom were amazing and they were very welcoming. Given another chance we would go back.
