Main house with cottage on private quiet garden property within walking distance of Sconset village, beaches, bike path. The property and houses are brimming with charm. Large backyard for outdoor grilling, badminton, croquet, or simply relaxing and enjoying the garden. There is a great swing set and mini climbing structure in the backyard as well. The house and cottage are extremely livable and afford quite separate space for larger groups or families.
You will find that there are activities for children of all ages in Sconset, on Nantucket and even on the property. If you re an extended family looking for a place to meet varying needs, or a small group looking for a great place to spend a week, the house, cottage and garden will serve your needs.
First Floor Description
Main house has a large kitchen, laundry room, living room, gorgeous sun room with a flat screen TV- and a daybed perfect for reading. Spacious master bedroom with tub shower and Queen bed. Guest bedroom (King) with bathroom with a tub. Outdoor shower.
Really pretty garden sitting area in the back yard- The backyard garden has beautiful sitting and eating areas that are gorgeous for breakfasts, evening cocktails, dinners or just sitting and reading on a warm afternoon. Private yard.
Second Floor Description
Main house has three bedrooms (Queen, Full, Twin) that share one hall full bathroom on the 2nd floor. Main house sleeps 9 max. COTTAGE: kitchenette living area with a Queen bed. Bedroom with Queen. Full bathroom with laundry. Second floor has a bunk room.
Cottage sleeps 6.
Window a/c units, washer/dryer, WiFi in both the house and cottage; Cable TV in house and cottage.

We found this the perfect house for us! We were up in 'Sconset for a family wedding, and the house with its historic Nantucket family feel, just embraced us. Filled with heavenly books and comfortable beds and surrounded with grassy gathering spots and beautiful old trees, Habitrot made our hearts sing. Thank you, thank you, Dierdre et al.

Great rental. Lots of bedrooms and space: we were 3 little families in for a wedding and the house and cottage worked very well. Deirdre was very easy to work with.House was clean and well stocked. Quick walk to access small grocery store and the beach. Sconset is quiet and lovely with free regular shuttles to Nantucket.We would definitely return again.

Nine of us stayed together in this gracious family home. The home was well equipped with a great floor plan. We had every weather, rain, fog, sun and felt cozy and snug.This is not a slick set up but rather a welcoming well loved home. We felt so fortunate to be there.

We had a great time staying at Habetrot. The location is spectacular, walking distance to both the beach and town. The home and cottage themselves are spacious, and there is no shortage of comfortable guestrooms. The yard is also a great place to hang out in between beach trips and dinner plans.
We were incredibly fortunate to have great whether while we were there, which was an added bonus. There were adequate supplies, linens, beach chairs, etc. which made logistics easy as well.
Check in was very easy, and the Host was very responsive for the few items we needed to communicate on.
Overall, would definitely return, and highly recommend.
