Location was good for the 5 days we stayed there. It was adequate but we wouldn’t stay there again.

Handy for food shopping, plenty of places to eat nearby. Good sized bedrooms.

Steep stairs. All carpets were dirty. Needs shampooing.Upstairs hadn’t been hoovered. Needs redecoration in upstairs rooms. Paintwork was shabby. Noisy neighbour playing loud rap music!

Mark, a member of staff with Host & Stay. He helped us get out of Windsor Cottage and found us an alternative venue.

Unbearable strong smell of tobacco in the main bedroom and the unbearable smell of cannabis in the lounge.

A clean warm, dog friendly house in a great location for exploring Saltburn.

It was clean, in a great location for walking to the beach and into town. It was lovely and warm, as it was a cold weekend and there was no restriction on the heating. There was plenty of hot water. It was very dog friendly. The kitchen design was great. It was next door to an excellent shop/post office that sold most things. The television watching system was good and easy to use. The bed was very comfortable.

The stairs were very steep to the bedrooms. The upstairs lighting was poor. There needed to be a mattress cover on the main bed. There wasn’t any facility to make coffee, not even a cafetière. There wasn’t an anti slip mat for the bath/shower. It could have done with an indoor doormat at the main door, especially at this time of year. The under stairs cupboard was full of dumped stuff, so not very useable for coats or storage.

Location excellent only a few minutes from the centre, cottage was very clean, Spar shop next door.

No garden, could not open bedroom window as road traffic too noisy. Sharp wooden corner on bed which could easily be removed, my partner has two marks on his legs from walking into it.

The location was good and the guide to the local area was good, some issues with the basics though!

I should have read the reviews! got caught out firstly by there additional non refundable cleaning charge of £25 and then there was an issue with cleanliness and a smokey smell - contacted them to let them know and just continued to get automated messages rather than an actual response 😅 defo the downside of being a franchise type set up!

The host arrived 30 minutes prior to our check out time trying to get into the rental. We had until 10am and she was trying to get in at 9:30am while I was getting ready for a funeral. 5 of the 8 pillowcases were stained. Dirty glasses in the cupboard. Random food in the cupboard from previous guests. Dirty toilet brush (no cover), covered in previous guest's faeces. The list in the kitchen stated there should have been washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc ... There were none so we had to chase. Although nicely decorated there was a lot of tidying up that needed doing, it wasn't being kept on top of. Broken blind in bedroom. Paper thin walls and neighbour had their TV on all night so we hardly slept. Kitchen radiator broken. A lot of mess and rubbish in the garden that could be easily cleared away but wasn't.

Stylish modern decor. Comfortable bed. Good double glazing so no road noise.

Bathroom had nowhere to hang towels/clothes. Kitchen was very basic....no sieve/colander and no way of making real coffee.

Not as relaxing as I would have liked

The location was perfect

The kitchen was dirty, very dusty on the hob & microwave, dirty cups in the stand, sink filthy, cupboards, drawers too. I didn't cook because of this. Definitely needs a deep clean, we are still in covid times. The front door had been painted before my arrival & was tacky. disturbed both nights in the master bedroom due to all night rave from next door, every minute throughout the night & into the morning. Not the hosts problem I know Door locks on outside back door & kitchen door in to utility very stiff, unsure if were locked or not. Front door has a yale, that's all, didn't feel overly secure

Underwhelmed, could do with a little care guys, people are paying a lot to stay with you!!

The position of the home was good, Close but not in the centre of the town and a few minutes walk to the beach.

On arrival the key box is obviously had a few issues and could do with changing for one that works. Cob webs throughout the home on and around the ceilings. Fixtures in the bathroom ready to fall off. No welcome pack( kitchen cloth, dish washer tablet, means of cleaning)

Pleasant stay

Property has all the basics and is located next to a convenience store with a good fish & chip shop nearby. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. Parking nearby. Small front garden for the dogs to use. Lots of local information made available.

Not a huge problem for us but be aware that the stairs are very narrow to walk on. Double bed has a wooden end that's a trip hazard. Property is on a main road so can be noisy when the windows are open.

Great location and nice little home

Location was perfect, just a short walk to the town and beach. The house was clean and ha everything that we needed. Great little front garden for the dog to be able to do his thing.

The property could do with some TLC, quite a few scuff marks on the walls, one of the sofa's was broken, few stains on the carpets, none of which affected our stay, however would make it more appealing.

spacious and comfortable main bedroom, lovely kitchen with everything you need and a utility room.. great lounge too.

not a major downer but traffic can be a touch noisy at ‘rush hour’ and second bedroom a bit of a squeeze and my daughter kept catching the sharp double bed corners walking past it.

On the whole our stay was good

Location was good and close to amenities

On arrival the house was cold. Boiler not working and we requested from Host and Stay an engineer to fix it within 10 minutes and the house warmed up quickly. The house was clean and tidy and our dog settled in immediately.

Great clean cottage that welcomes dogs in a good location

Clean house that was exactly like the pictures. Comfortable and well presented. Had everything you could need! A problem with the boiler was fixed within 10 minutes of calling the company. Maintenance arrived 5 minutes after I hung up!

Everything was fine. Perhaps some coasters would be a good idea, we didn’t want to mark the tables so we’re using kitchen roll! If there were coasters we just didn’t find them.

Clean, well refurbed cottage Well equipped, all modern appliances Great location, less than 10 mins to beach or town centre Handy Spar supermarket next door, and chippy just over road. Big sainsbury in centre. Parking outside back door, to unload, and then over road in macknay street otherwise.

the kitchen was nicely appointed with plenty of cooking utensils and the beds were comfortable

the bedroom blinds need to be replaced with curtains as they do not stop any morning daylight also the smaller bedroom bed has a protruding base that causes havoc with your shins

lovely weather

The back yard could have been cleaned and the outside toilet was dirty. nothing can be done with the stairs but they were very steep. also short steps. bath mat would be good not easy yo get into the bath. As i'm 64 the front grass needed cutting and I had to pick up the litter in the garden as it was embarrassing when you sat out the front.
