Comfy and warm house, but could do with some improvements

Very comfy beds. The whole house was quick to warm up and kept the warmth in, so you barely need the heating on. Nicely decorated bathrooms. Hygienic. Brightly lit. Friendly host who came over a couple of times to help with things. Nice big garden. Close to shops, train station, motorway, and country parks.

Only being given one set of keys for 2 adults. The front door and all the windows are very stiff to open/close and lock/unlock - difficult enough for me, nearly impossible for my mum who is partially sighted and has arthritis in her hands. There's a trip hazard at the top of the stairs - a pointless bit of wood from the skirting board that juts out several inches. The downstairs bathroom has no extractor fan. The extractor fan in the upstairs bathroom doesnt go on, and the one in the kitchen makes a loud screeching noise. The lights in the living room flicker. When Andy came round to take a flickering bulb out, that seemed to solve the problem, but then after a while, another light bulb was flickering. The dials to turn the radiators in the bedrooms on and off or up and down don't work, so they'll be blasting out heat when you have them turned off. There was no cupboard or drawer space in the kitchen because the ones that didn't have utensils were filled with junk and half empty bottles of disinfectant, including 13 bottles of glass cleaner. There were only 2 teaspoons and two glasses, but loads more wine and shot glasses and big frying pans than are needed for a 2 bedroom house. Electric shower wasn't working so we had to use the shower on the tap, which doesn't give much pressure. The bins outside were full when we arrived, so when we left they were overflowing, despite us separating the things that can be recycled.

Plenty of room. Very clean and well appointed. Pleasant outdoor space. 100m to large M&S store. Good comms.

Nothing although a casserole dish and collapse would be useful kitchen additions.

Home from home.

Comfortable house, nice fixtures and fittings. Nice back garden, seating, decking area under canopy. No passing traffic. Close to Glasgow for shows, museums etc Close to shops, restaurants etc Good communication with Andy via mobile. Would stay again.

Lovely stay and location

Location was fantastic. 2 minutes walk to silverburn. Nice and spacious. All appliances works well with no issues. Kitchen had nice amount of room. Ease of key collection and owner was very nice to deal with

It was good and we would stay again.

It was very clean and the beds were really comfortable.

Some of it was a bit tired, for example it could do with a new sofa, it was stained and no springs in bits of it. We did not get any contact from the owner.

Lovely house, private parking, quiet cul de sac, close walk to Silverburn shopping centre for food and drinks in evening. Not far from Glasgow. Great to have some tea, coffee, milk, etc left for us, thank you!

Our stay in Silverburn

Lovely wee house, quiet area, clean, warm, comfortable, excellent hosts. Great situation, we had no car, silverburn centre just a five minute walk , with a huge variety of shopping opportunities and places to meet and eat and a variety of buses to be got there also.

Nothing not to like except a couple more pillows maybe but that's a preference

great location! clean super clean and huge back garden with seating area large car parking space and right next to the shopping centre just across the road with all high street shops! even let us check out later . 10/10 communication from the owner was great and quick!

An old house with scope for improvement in facilities and maintenance

Parking space available outside the house, close to shopping mall, comfortable two bedroom, good wifi signals, lots of kitchenware, quick response from the owner

1. Some of the utilities are not maintained well such as those in the garden, damaged shower hose, dressing table mirror, cabinet door. 2. There are no hair dryer and bath soap which are part of the named facilities; if I were informed of beforehand, I can bring along mine. 3. Some radiators did not work.

Great location and easy to get around

We lined this property. The Silverburn Shopping Centre 2 minute walk literally. Dontgo by google maps. We walked out the door and 20 metres right and then down a walkway. And you can see the shopping centre Carpark. Cross the bridge and you are there. Beautiful shopping centre. Also big bus station. The X8 takes 15 minutes into Glasgow city centre. You can also drive to Ibrox Subway Station and get free parking along the street and catch the Subway. You will need to check to see if it’s a game day before you do this as the IBrox Rangers Stadium is here and it’s a madhouse on game day

Beds should have had mattress and pillow protectors on them. When I raised this with host, they were replaced.

Security deposit was unfairly deducted for forty pounds by declaring cleanliness was not ok by guest. I would recommend that guests be careful in depositing security amounts to this host.

Beautiful home, very clean. Excellent price point. Lovely garden and patio with seating area. 2 toilets Spacious rooms, nice neutral decor. Comfy beds and great storage space. Kitchen fully equipped for all your needs. Great location and proximity to superstore and shops. Just off the carriageway, it's a prime location to drive to all tourist attractions as well. Clear instructions and easy contact from landlord.

Shower control was difficult to adjust and light pressurel, one tap didn't fully close was leaking. Personally, for me, I like a hard/firm mattress but no complaints from family
