Although I was on my own I could see this would be perfect for a romantic couple's escape. The little details, the table laid, the rose petals, were so sweet. And Nunzio was extremely attentive. I also had no use for sauna or hot tub but again a couple would love these luxury aspects. (Views from balconies pictured below.)

Be aware that it is the other end of town, a good walk from the station. That said, it is perfect for one of the two ports which you can use to visit the Amalfi coast, five minutes' walk away. My room had its own private balcony, which was great, but I was not so keen on the idea of a shared space for breakfast with a shared balcony that overlooked the harbour. Also, if you don't sign up for breakfast, the items in your room-fridge are chargeable - probably easiest to pay the extra €5.

View of the sea and the marina from the window was wonderful. The room was very clean. Although the jacuzzi bathtub is awesome, the hot water wasn't very hot, so that limited the utility somewhat. Also the tub is also the shower and the floor is highly sloped which makes it awkward to stand in the shower. The host communicated well and was very informative and helpful. The walk to main town area for most restaurants is about 20-30 minutes.

Parking was difficult. There is free parking as advertised however it is very difficult to get in and out of and fills up, so a space is not guaranteed. Breakfast is prepackaged pastry, a difficult to use non-standard espresso machine with limited coffee supply, dry cereal, yogurt and milk. We had to ask for a hot pot to make tea, and ended up using it for instant coffee as well. There is a small elevator in the building for luggage, but it is old and unreliable. It worked on the way up, but we couldn't get it to respond when we left. There is some noise from the commercial marine port, although that didn't bother us it may bother some guests.

Staff and the person who checked us in were very nice and accommodating, as we arrived super late and they stayed up for us. Nice view, plus a nice restaurant right underneath the apartment. Everything was set up for us in the room and sharing area, from coffee to snacks and lactose free milk. Super nice and thoughtful. The common area was very pleasant incomparission to the room. I've shared pictures of the common area and not the room.

The room n floors were not clean, our feet turned black from the dirty floors, and we were staying just 1 night, so it was not worth unpacking to get slippers (and no slippers provided). Mattress was very old and uncomfortable, sheets felt itchy. All in all, the stay was not the best, and it's a good thing we were just staying there for 1 night as we're driving to Matera the next day.
