Great!

Villa Melati gave me some of the most beautiful memories I’ve ever had, and I truly hope to return every year to spend a few days there. The environment is peaceful, private, and filled with artistic charm. The staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. I especially remember Mr. Erwin by name, though I am not very good at remembering names, and the two female staff members were equally wonderful. The two lovely cats also added a special touch to the experience. This place has raised my standards for what a hotel should be, and I will definitely come back again.

Amazing stay at the Villa

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Villa Melati . The view is absolutely extraordinary – waking up to it every day felt magical. The staff are incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always ready to help us with anything we needed or answer our questions. The food was excellent, we really enjoyed every meal. Everything was also spotlessly clean, and the house itself has so much charm. It’s a very picturesque place, perfect to relax, recharge, and simply enjoy the atmosphere. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ubud – it’s beautiful, welcoming, and makes you feel at home.

Brillliant

The place is brilliant near the forest which we can enjoy the nature but at the same time not far away from the city centre. The room is tidy and cleaned everyday. What more to add was that all the staffs were nice helpful. Special mention to the driver Ray and Daya. Ray drove us to different places safe and sound while providing tips and advices when travelling to tourists spots. Also he is open to share local balinese culture to travellers. Daya who helped to cooked the breakfast and dinner for us were delicious. More to add she helped to purchase the rose flower bouquet and to decorate the dinning table perfectly for my proposal plan. The plan could not been so smooth without the help of Daya for all the preparation works. Special thanks to her team members as well. Is is really a nice place to visit and I am sure every visitor will enjoy their stay here.

Absolutely! Here’s your full, polished review: “An Unforgettable Jungle Retreat in Ubud” We absolutely loved our stay at this stunning villa in Ubud. The property is huge and beautifully maintained, with lush gardens to explore and the most incredible jungle views. It felt like a private paradise, completely removed from the outside world. The staff were exceptional—so kind and thoughtful, especially with our kids. They spent time playing games and entertaining them, always in a warm and gentle way, and never intrusive. We used Ray, the recommended driver, and he was lovely—friendly, reliable, and a great amenity to have. The in-villa dining was another highlight. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and had dinner a few nights from the house menu—cooked fresh in the villa, absolutely delicious, and fantastic value. The pool is a standout feature, offering breathtaking views and a serene spot to relax. Bathrooms were modern and very comfortable. While the villa is 82 steps down from the road (which keeps it so peaceful), there’s a small lift that fits 1–2 people to make the trip up and down a little easier—thankfully! It was truly paradise—immersed in nature, surrounded by jungle, and yet so comfortable and welcoming. We would return in a heartbeat.

The only downside was that the third bedroom is a separate stand-alone structure, which, while lovely, may not be suitable for young children due to its distance from the main house.

Brilliant - exceeded expectations re location, service, staff, and ambience!!

The view is stunning and just like the photos, the 5 staff are wonderfully warm and helpful without being intrusive. Ray the resident driver was the best way to get around and recommend booking him for airport pick-ups and drop-offs also , breakfasts were included courtesy of Dayu and Ayu who also cooked us some great meals at reasonable costs for our family of 4 when we wanted to stay in at night. 2 main bedrooms roomy and airconditioned. There are Many areas around the villa to relax and enjoy the view -the pool was a delight overlooking the river and trees. Good value compared to the price of the luxury hotels nearby and greater privacy. Plenty to do in Ubud and surrounding areas.

The 3rd bedroom is a 3 storey rice barn which external to the house - it has aircon and a large comfortable mattress on the floor of the top level and TV and Toilet on the 2nd level and a semi outdoor bathroom on the bottom level. Ideal retreat for out 21yr old son but may be too rustic difficult to access for older less mobile guests.

Villa Melati was incredible in every way! We'll be back! :)

We liked everything at Villa Melati ! Dayu and the staff were a pleasure to spend time around. Dayu's cooking was lovely and the buildings and gardens were utterly magical! We particularly loved the instruments in the corner of the dining room.

The only thing I think worth mentioning is that the pool chemicals felt a bit strong.

an Balinese abode nestled in nature

very private property, all to yourself, with very Balinese rooms, great outdoor views, feel immersed in nature and a great pool to dip into. we loved the stay through out. great for kids too.

Good for four people, terrible for six people

Two rooms, a pool, a living room, and a garden were perfectly fine

The third room was a disaster, you had to climb a ladder to the living room where there was a 5 cm mattress and all the equipment, then you could reach the sleeping cabin by another ladder. The information material about this room did not contain a description.

what an amazing villa to stay in Ubud! Beautifully designed, amazing views, friendly staff who catered to possible need.

Friendly and generous staff who catered to every need. Just the right level of helpful without feeling intrusive. Beautifully designed uniquely designed property - felt secluded and quiet but only 10mins to central Ubud. Pictures do not do it justice. So much space for our two families and things to explore. Afternoon cocktails or massage by the pool with views over the jungle/rice fields/river. The food was excellent - would recommend at least one night dinner in. Good value for the level of service and accommodation.

Very hard to find any faults. Probably not ideal for those wanting to be in the centre of town.

serene and beautiful.. words can’t do justice to the beauty of this place

the property is like a dream, I stayed there for 4 nights and wish my stay was longer, the breakfast by the river was beautiful.. Gus took us around Ubud and was of great help, Ayu and Dayu cooked breakfast for us and took care of everything.. the rooms were clean and the amenities were fab… can’t wait to come back to this gorgeous place soon.

Superb

This was the second time that I stayed here. The villa was built downward into a valley looking out to the jungles. Perfect for people who are seeking serene and nature. Every bit of the villa was an art. The staff in the villa prepared meals that were very delicious and at reasonable price. The pet cat Luna was such a sweat company. Among the staff there was also a driver who provided complimentary shuttle service anytime guest needs to go to nearby places (pickup too). Overall Villa Melati is a hidden gem in Ubud! Definitely will come back again!

There were usually 1-2 staff onsite waiting on the guest in the kitchen or dining room. Sometimes it might make the guest feels like an intruder rather than a guest of the villa as they might get a little too comfortable chatting sitting in the dining room. Recommend the villa manager to train the staff a bit on being more discreet when guest is active.

Everything! How could you not love Villa Melati, we didn't want to leave. Dayu and Gus were fantastic and looked after us so well, couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. Such a beautiful location, so peaceful and relaxing - we will definitely be back.

Living the luxury in the forests

A very thematic villa with complete privacy in the middle of the forests with infinity pool overlooking the river. The family and I loved the thematic design of the villa and the feel of a luxurious adventure in the forests.

Three things we didn’t like: 1) insects and small animals having access to rooms, 2) no extra care when it comes to outdoor sitting areas, and 3) not enough lighting along the step stair access to the villa. It was a bit uncomfortable to the family coming after sunset to the villa.

Un Bonheur en Famille

Le lieu était Magnifique!!!! ce calme n'avais pas de prix et nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable, le personnel a été d'une grande gentillesse, et nous avons été ravis. Et un grand merci pour l'attention du sapin de noël....

La Climatisation est peut être un peu bruyante et pas très agréable en direction du lit quand on dort? d'ailleurs nous l'avons éteinte tout le long du séjour.

Geweldig verblijf met fantastisch vast personeel

Prachtig gelegen villa, dichtbij Ubud rijstvelden als ook het centrum. De Villa is geweldig om met het gezin terug te trekken en te genieten van de rust en geweldige ambiance. Het personeel is enorm toegewijd en er wordt heerlijk gekookt. Dank Dayoo en Ayoo. Ray was onze vaste chauffeur en geweldig. Dank !
