Villa Melati

Magnifique villa. Un des plus beaux endroits où j’ai pu séjourner dans ma vie . Tout parfait. Au milieu de la jungle tout en n’étant pas trop loin du centre ville. Personnel hyper agréable. Chauffeur à disposition très pratique.

Les bruits avoisinants comme souvent à Bali, entre autre des chiens du voisinage aboyant parfois toute la nuit…

View, sound of the river and birds, comfortable bed/bathroom, very helpful personnel. Twice we asked for dinner which was amazing, thanks Dayu! Complementary car/driver available for Ubud center trips during the day, although I thought that using one of the taxi apps like Gojek would have been sometimes easier, especially with the pick-upps in busy center. Possible to book day trips. Would gladly return, much recommended!

Nothing major. Breakfast is tasty but basic (fruit bowl, white toast only, eggs, jam, pancakes), perhaps bit too basic in comparison to all the rest, especially if staying for a longer period. We bought some extra stuff like cheese, tomato etc, which were also served upon request. Short briefing in addition to the info map would have been helpful (to what time taxi available etc).

The whole villa is a paradise. A gem of a place tucked atop a hill overlooking a deep valley with a gurgling river flowing at the bottom. The valley is lush green with fragrance of wild flowers floating in the air. A few paddy fields complete the scenery. The Villa itself has 2 spacious bed rooms, a lounge and a dining area with decks overlooking the forest. The not so small swimming infinity pool is a joy. You have two beautiful lazy and friendly cats Apling and Aplan for company. The staff Dayu, Ayu, Deva and Arvind are courteous and good at small talk.

We had a power outage at night because of a fault. Ayu was about to leave, it took some anxious moments to see Ayu call up manager and work the power backup out (the property it seems has one but she had to trace someone to get that turned on). It took almost 30-40 anxious moments but fortunately it was resolved.

Two rooms, a pool, a living room, and a garden were perfectly fine

The third room was a disaster, you had to climb a ladder to the living room where there was a 5 cm mattress and all the equipment, then you could reach the sleeping cabin by another ladder. The information material about this room did not contain a description.
