Black Penny Villas Ubud

The villa was beautiful with an amazing jungle view and private pool. It was peaceful, clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect place to relax after exploring Ubud.

The only downside was the amount of stairs. Going up and down them several times a day could be quite tiring, especially after a long day out. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Location the view was beautiful. The staff, especially Desak was friendly and very helpful. Shout out to Desak. Love the dessert black pulut, outstandingly delicious.

Steps going up and down. Didn’t expect so many steps. Room flooring a bit rundown and shaking especially going to the bathroom (uneven flooring and almost fell). No pool lights at night. Always wet and caught in water drips when going out from the room to the stairs.

View is amazing, food was perfect. We tried the candle night dinner and everything was perfect about it.

All jungle animals can easily go inside the room. The room had so many ants we also saw a gecko on the roof just above the bed. The floating breakfast basket had so many ants which means it was dirty and not cleaned properly before they served to us. Only reception woman speaks good english, all others can only understand couple of words. Although view was amazing, but that’s only during day time, after that nothing can be seen at all. On both nights we heard frogs and other animal voices just outside our room roof or next to our pool (within our area), although they said they did fog spray, but nothing changed at all. They said that they change and clean the towels but the towels was not clean and there is a dark spots.
