About this house rental

Hale Nalu is a roomy 3 bedroom, 3 bath home fronting the delightful Baby Beach and situated in a charming Poipu residential neighborhood. Spacious and appealing at 2,450 square feet, Hale Nalu features a beachfront master suite with Jacuzzi tub upstairs and a 2nd master bedroom downstairs, both with exquisite sunsets from the beachfront decks. Stunning hardwood floors, hot tub, outside beach shower and high speed wireless internet access are just a few of the amenities. Hale Nalu is a 5 minute walk from the dynamic Kukui’ula Village Shopping Center. Location and quality combine to make Hale Nalu the “akamai” (smart) choice, compared to other properties, for comfortable and casual living! King beds in the masters and 2 full beds in the guest bedroom.

The views were spectacular. And the sound of the ocean was transformative. Hale Nalu has everything we needed for the perfect, chill Kauai escape. Having plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards was bonus. On our last day, 2 monk seals came onshore at the baby beach right next door! We will return- and this time we won’t wait 20 years!

Perfect stay on Baby Beach. Easy access to the sand and shopping/dining. Home is beautiful. Kitchen could be a little better stocked for such a nice home. The upstairs master does have a steep set of stairs and could be difficult if you had guests with limited mobility. The feral cat that visits is very friendly and we fed her as suggested but she didn’t eat much. Only had one BIG issue - water started running down thru a can light in the kitchen when one of the guests was using the upstairs jacuzzi tub. We called and left voice/text messages and never heard from anyone until the following morning - 12 hours later. The water did eventually stop flowing but if that were my home, I would have been a little more attentive to something so disasterous!

For the price, furniture is very uncomfortable (but stylist in old Hawaiian way). Dining chairs inside amazingly uncomfortable. Kitchen not outfitted well. Arrived to very strong old mop smell. Turned out to be washing machine. cleaned washer trap and left it open at night with overhead fan running to dry out, never went fully away. Cleaners and rental company should have been more responsive to smell.

We asked if they could supply a second coffee maker for a couple friends that drink decaf. Granted, they only advertise coffee pot. But when you lag over 11k I would expect that they would be more willing to accommodate a 20 request. Overall, I would book the property again but had a bad taste in my liutb with their unwillingness to accommodate a minor request.

This home is truly in a magical setting and is everything you could ask for! Grandparents, parents and grandchildren all had a joyful time and are sad to go home!! We enjoyed every day in our fully stocked home and couldn’t get enough of that gorgeous view! Mahalo!

Terrific location for a relaxing stay away from it all but close enough to shopping and restaurants for a balanced vacation. Wonderful home which is well stocked and maintained right next to the baby beach. Saw some amazing sea turtles and monk seals while there and our family enjoyed the hammock and hot tub frequently after hikes or a long day at the beach. Will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Beautiful home and great location. Breathtaking sunsets and close to restaurants, shopping and beach access. We saw dolphins and turtles from our porch, and the HOT TUB was the best! It was so fun to sit in after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Hope to stay there again. Garden Island rentals was great to work with. A plus in my book.

There were six adults in our group, and we could not have enjoyed the house more. It’s so comfortable and the views are so amazing that we found it hard to want to leave. Whale watching from the deck. Large, well outfitted kitchen and comfortable beds. What more could you want? We loved it and highly recommend it. Garden Island Properties were also great to work with. Very responsive and helpful.

Location and accommodations were spectacular. Couldn’t imagine a more scenic and romantic spot for an anniversary getaway. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun went down over the ocean is an experience that’s been seared into my brain. Really appreciate the amazing expereince.

We loved our stay in this beautiful and clean oceanfront property. The location is truly awesome, in a nice relaxed (this is Hawaii after all) neighborhood and offers plenty of good food options within a short drive. The kitchen was fully equipped and all other amenities were available as outlined on the website. We had a great time and would love to return eventually.

The views from this property are awesome and the sounds of the surf could not be better. Every night we were treated with wonderful sunsets from the comfortable back lanai and once sunset passed, we enjoyed the relaxing spa before retreating to bed. The house is very tastefully decorated and appointed and you’ll not need much more than your food and drink to enjoy your stay. Rooms are spacious and restful and do not worry about the lack of a/c, as there are plenty of breezes flowing through the home. The neighborhood is very quiet and an extremely short distance to great eating and shopping options.

Reviewer Comments: Spotless, artfully decorated space, but not filled with precious breakables you must stow away from curious hands, with entire walls of south-facing sliding door windows for natural lighting and ocean breezes. 5 minute walk to trendy shopping center with pizza, burgers and upmarket eateries, a pricey but well-supplied organic grocer and fish store, drug store. House on tiny lane with many walkers, so comfortable on foot and quiet feel. 1 minute walk to a reef-enclosed flat water beach for sand castles and kiddie snorkeling. Master bedroom upstairs is dreamy big. Plenty of beach toys, boogie boards. Hot tub on lanai well maintained.

The house is well equipped with most all that you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Beach towels and chairs are included. Because of the location, the noise from the strong surf is rather prominent and the sounds from Baby Beach can remind you of the appropriateness of it's name. We wouldn't let this minor drawback stop us from renting it again. Garden Island rentals was responsive and did a good job.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! The location was perfect and the house was exactly as pictured. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed during our stay (ie, blender, coffee pot, pots/pans, etc) The views from the back yard and deck were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again and without hesitation recommend it.

Let me start by saying it’s not easy to get to Kauai during covid... the 72hr quarantine bubble in a hotel makes you think twice about going. Airlines canceling your flight 5 days before isn’t helpful. This house made it worth all the hassle. Everything you could want in an oceanfront home. Steps from baby beach which is wonderful for kids. Watching the sun set and the waves crash from the deck & hot tub. House was fully stocked with everything you need. Property manger was very helpful as we had to change dates multiple times due to travel restrictions and flight issues. We will 100% be returning to this house in the future, hopefully without a 72hr quarantine!

Generally it was great. It was quite a hassle to understand the Hawai’ian requirements and protocols. Not the fault at all of the property management. They were very flexible and helpful in our preparing for our trip.

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway for our family of grandparents/parents and two young children. Open the windows, feel the breeze off the water, share a meal on the lanai. We shopped at nearby farmers markets (Saturday at the community college and Wednesday at the nearby shopping center), walked to the nearby restaurants, lolled at the beach with the kids. Very slowed down pace. Kitchen well supplied, lots of room to prepare meals. Yard is perfect for little ones. Steps from the reef-protected bay, which is safe for small children.

Though the weather was not ideal we still managed and had a great time. I found a missing rental key (someone must have lost in the past) and cleaned out the blocked gutter downspouts for you. We also named the outside cat Stitch! Only recommendation is possibly trying to get AC for the downstairs bedrooms. That would help tremendously for the humid nights. Overall, a great time!!!
