About this house rental

Hale Huna (Hidden House) is a delightful beach house located on the green belt with just a short walk to Poipu's finest beaches, pool, hot tub, and tennis courts. The front courtyard is private for relaxation and features a barbecue so you can enjoy all your meals in the Hawaiian sunshine. Backyard lanai is open to the green belt. An outdoor shower is perfect for a rinse after the beach.

Inside is a spacious living room has a 75-inch smart TV with surround sound. Air conditioning in all bedrooms, as well as the living, kitchen and dining areas. Open concept kitchen into living room and dining area, which seats 8. There are two additional seats at the kitchen island.

A total of 8 guests can sleep in the home's four beachy bedrooms, plus an additional sofa-bed.
• Master bedroom—with Tempur-pedic Contour Elite with cool-to-the-touch SmartClimate System king bed, private full bathroom with walk-in shower, 50” smart TV, and private door opening onto a separate lanai that opens to the green belt.
• Second guest bedroom—with two XL twin beds, and 47” smart TV.
• Third guest bedroom—with king bed, private full bathroom with tub/shower, and 40” smart TV.

Kim was very accommodating as we were able to drop our bags and food (in refrigerator) before 4pm. The home is very comfortable, my adult sons and their families had ample space and really appreciated the BR facilities! The kitchen was well equipped as we cooked every day. Charming house that was within walking distance to several beaches. Communication with the host was excellent and she was very accommodating. The outdoor patio is a great space to kick back, grill some burgers and take in the island life. AC very helpful for warmer summer days. Lots of perks - use of neighborhood pool, tennis courts, and use of Poipu Beach Club.

The property is located in a great area and is a short walk to two beaches. Very tropical feel with lots of natural light. Very comfortable. Check in and communication was very easy and we greatly appreciate the refreshments that our host left for us. Ample space to spread out for a large group (we were 10). I would recommend this property without hesitation.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hale Huna! We wished we had made plans to stay two weeks instead of just one. Here are a few of the things we loved about Hale Huna. The home design is warm, inviting, and open so family members (there were five of us) could gather comfortably in the living and dining areas for meals, games, and conversation. Home décor features like the wood flooring, bamboo chairs, floral print upholstery, couch pillows, and double doors leading to the lanai enhanced the feel of being in a tropical environment. The lanai was nicely landscaped with beautiful tropical trees and shrubs. The bedrooms were spacious and had high ceilings, ceiling fans, and AC units. The showers were spacious and clean. We loved the location with the greenbelt path providing easy access to the beaches and shops. It was a short walk to the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort where we sat on the terrace and enjoyed our morning coffee, to the Koloa Heritage Trail where we saw magnificent views of the ocean and watched sea lions resting on the beach, to Poipu beach where we took surfing lessons and watched the sea turtles, and to Shipwreck Beach where we sun bathed and watched the locals surf. Kim’s hospitality included a nice welcome basket full of delicious local snacks, treats, and a bottle of wine. During our stay we drove to the north, east, and west ends of the island for various activities. We felt relaxed and at home again when we arrived back at Hale Huna.

I got married on kauai and my partner, myself, and my 4 girlfriends that were in my wedding all stayed here. The size of the house was perfect, no one ever felt like they were stepping on toes. The location of the house was also perfect, a good central location for our group and walking distance to everything we needed including the beach where we got to see huge sea turtles on the beach. Kalapaki Joe's was our favorite spot, walking distance plus a great happy hour and good vibes all around, highly recommend! Thank you to the host for making everything so easy, we absolutely love your house and will be back as soon as we can!

Hale Huna is a beautiful home. Enough for eight of us. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and very comfortable. The location is located between two beautiful beaches. The home had plenty of chairs, a wagon, sand toys and snorkeling gear. The number of turtles and seals was too much fun to see. The weather was windy, but warm. Kim was very easy to communicate with and helpful. Definitely hope to stay again.

This home was incredible! It's located in the perfect spot with easy access to so many things. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. We loved walking on the pathway to the different beaches and it was so nice having the wagon to load the beach stuff in. We will definitely stay here again! This home was perfect for our family! We had our children and grandchildren with us ( 6 adults and 4 kids). The design of the house gave everyone space and comfort. It was so conveniently located to several beaches and the green space with walkway made for fun strolls. Having the wagon , chairs, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment was great. We all loved our time here and highly recommend this beautiful home for a magical vacation.

This house was perfect for our family Thanksgiving trip in so many ways... *The room set-up worked really well for us. Three of the four bedrooms have their own bathroom, and there's a fourth (separate bathroom). So helpful to have that many showers! *Everything was in great shape-- nice wood floors (so much better than carpet near the beach!), updated bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, nice big dining table. *The location was awesome. The back patio looked out on the greenway. About 1/3 of a mile to the right was Shipwreck beach-- not the best for swimming, but beautiful sunrises when we were there, and there's a trail that continues past the beach that is fun for hiking/running. A little over 1/2 mile in the other direction on the greenway is Poipu Beach, which has everything-- baby/toddler area, snorkeling, area with waves for boogie boaring/bodysurfing, and beautiful sunsets! *All the beach gear you'll need-- chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach toys, some snorkel gear, and a wagon to carry it all. *In addition to all that, you have access to the Poipu Athletic Club, which has a pool w/waterslide, workout facility, etc. *Other things we appreciated: lots of food storage containers, a slow cooker, tasty treats in the welcome basket. There were also a high chair and chair that attaches to the table. We also really appreciated how responsive and helpful the owner was-- they always responded quickly and did everything they could to make our visit smooth.

Our family stayed in Koloa for 1 week. The house was clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked and had a great view to the front yard area. Behind the house has an amazing walkway that leads to beaches either way you take it. We walked to Poipu Park Beach nearly everyday to see the turtles come onto the shore in the late afternoon. We would definitely stay there again!

Staying at this property enhanced our vacation stay in Kauai. The home is perfect for multi generations. The home has many thoughtful touches such as dimmable lights, dual shower heads, outdoor shower, plates and cups for the kids, and plenty of beach toys. Ideally situated next to the walking path where you can walk either direction within minutes to a beautiful beach. The private front yard was a lovely place to relax, dine, and bbq. I planned a weekend with my sisters and hanai sisters for my 50th birthday. The home was in a great location, beautifully decorated and wheelchair accessible. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary utensils to prepare all the meals we cooked there. Highly recommend!

Great home and wonderful location. Comfortable for us and our two kids and their kids, 9 of us in total. Plenty of room and privacy if wanted. Location on the green belt was awesome. I walk several miles every day and had easy access to many locations. We used the included athletic club daily. The pool was perfect for kids and the gym was great for us. The house was well stocked with chairs and umbrellas for the beach also.

We had the best time at this home and would 100% stay here again! We had a family of 6 adults (3 couples) stay at the home and it was a perfect amount of space for us all, with the added bonus of a king bed and private bathroom for all couples. There was also another bedroom with two twins and a hallway bathroom that was sparingly used but loved the extra space when needed. We were surprised how close the walk to the beach was (in our heads we thought it was going to be a long walk) but it was actually a really nice paved walkway and close! Super close to the grand Hyatt too so felt luxurious due to proximity. Also close to all the Koloa shopping and good, super convenient. Definitely recommend having a car if you stay here to see the island (about an hour from Princeville and an hour and a half to Waimea canyon and 20 min from Lihue). It was amazing having a full kitchen, washer dryer and a bunch of Tommy Bahama beach chairs + some other gear. Also had access to a nearby athletic club with a beautiful pool, tennis, gym, etc. Thank you for a great stay!

Much to love about Hale Huna at Poipu Beach! It was our family’s first visit and we enjoyed having two beaches within walking distance of house. House is centrally located for day trips to local beaches and hikes. There was plenty of room and seating areas for us to relax either inside or outside. The beds were very comfortable and all the A/C units worked well. Bathrooms were spacious and attractively renovated. Kitchen and dining room were cozy; kitchen was well stocked and we found everything we needed. Appreciated that lights & fan switches were labeled—took guess work out of our stay. Finally, we loved all the extras at Hale Huna — puzzles, beach toys, wagon, chairs, and most of all, the corn hole game! Our only small inconvenience was the freezer/freezer drawer—ice machine wasn’t working properly and the drawer runners were either frozen or unbroken.

It started with some bad weather. Flash flood warnings with thunder and lightning. Kim was so kind to allow us to hunker down with early check in and late checkout. It rained so much the first day, streets were flooded around us but the house was cozy and secure. We had everything we needed to keep ourselves entertained inside with games, puzzles and plenty of space. Loved having a bathroom in 3 of the rooms and a big table for everyone to sit together. Home was clean and when we finally went out, we had beach chairs umbrellas and wagons to help us relax as we walked to the beach which was so close! Corn hole and frisbee were a nice touch while we cooked, so people could have something to do outside but be close to home. Kim was a great host and the house was beautiful, updated and clean.

This house was was exactly how it was described, lots of space for everyone ( 6 adults & 2 toddlers) it was fully stocked but had little space in the kitchen to put your dry goods so we used hall closet. The BBQ was large & very clean! The location was great for access to beaches & 2 wagon & plenty of beach accessories! The only drawback was that the houses are very close together so sound travels, we couldn’t tell whether it was our toddlers awake in the cribs or the neighbors littles crying!lol
