The property is in the perfect place on the south shore. Poipu beach is a very short walk. The views are just the best. The propery its self is the best 1 i have ever stayed at.

I booked this hotel because of its location and paid a high price, but the condition of the unit was very disappointing. The facilities were old, and one of the kitchen cabinet doors was falling off. There were many stains throughout the kitchen and bathroom, and the shower area had several mold-like marks (the manager said they weren’t mold, but they definitely looked like it), which made it feel unclean. I also saw two cockroaches during my stay — one of them inside the dishwasher, which was shocking. I closed it right away, and the next day it was gone, probably moving around inside. The one positive was that the office responded quickly when I reported issues. But with a broken cabinet door, cockroaches, and suspicious stains in the shower, I definitely wouldn’t want to stay here again.

These are older condos that show some wear and tear but that’s doctors the close proximity to the ocean. Sea water and salt over years. With that being said, probably one of the best stays in Hawaii we ever had. We have stayed in 4-5 star hotels and they are amazing, however for the location and parking and no resort fees, this is the place on Kauai. Your balcony overlooks the ocean and you fall asleep to the waves crashing on the cliff. We saw a pod of dolphins and numerous turtles from our balcony. Our unit was pretty up to date. No air conditioner but you really do not need one due to the location. The staff was very friendly even though they were understaffed, but Kauai right now that seems to be everywhere. I would very much so recommend this place.

We stayed at Castle Po’ipū Shores and, while the location is absolutely unreal, the unit itself felt pretty dated. Lots of rusty fixtures, and some of the room amenities were subpar—think “bring-your-own-screwdriver” energy. That said, it’s hard to be too mad when you’re watching sea turtles and sunsets from your lanai. Let’s be real: no one flies to Hawaii to hang out in their room. If you’re coming for the beaches, scenery, and proximity to all things Kaua’i, this place delivers. But if you’re squeamish about the occasional cockroach or feel uneasy around questionable metalwork, maybe book elsewhere—or just make sure your tetanus shot is current and lean into the charm. Would we stay here again? Maybe… if the price is right and we pack some WD-40.

The location was amazing but our room was horible. I'm not one to complain but this particular room at Castle Poipu Shores, shouldn't be rented again. It needs a renovation. Kitchen has delaminated cupboards, tub with shower doors mildew & mold, tub didn't drain properly, all window screens gapping, all drawers swollen & hard to move, patio doors, washer broken didnt spin our clothes. The list goes on. This room should be inspected by a health code inspector, it wouldn't pass. We paid a premium price to be on tbis property. We booked a deluxe 2 bedroom. We had to change our dates by 2 days because of an airplane flight reschedule. We got a room with less square footage than what we booked and we had to pay more because of the change in dates by 2 days. We should have been shown pictures that depicted the suite, not just the best the property had to offer. We researched the location and wanted very much to stay at Castle Poipu Shores. We were shocked when we checked in at 1130pm Friday. The office didn’t open until Monday so we had no one to complain to.

The unit we stayed in was not represented in the photos, it was a little old with no bedrooms with ocean views. The patio is as pictured, evening sun exposure. Turtles in the bay. Note there is no ac, but we were fine as we were out all day and here in December. Close to a lot of great things. Would stay again, but wosh they would have been more clear on what our actual unit looked like.

On the edge of the island and perched to see turtles daily. Also saw dolphins swimming! The space was nice and adequate for the 5 adults. Twin beds were hard and the parking was hit and miss on a steep driveway. Would definitely stay there again!

The suite we stayed at has fantastic ocean views. The rooms are quite large to accommodate five of us comfortably. The kitchen was fully equipped so it was quite convenient for meal preps. Only drawback was the master bedroom got really hot in the early afternoon. The fan in the room was not that strong to cool the room even it was at its max.

This was a terrific location with beautiful views of the ocean and a great experience of the waves crashing against the rocks. The only issues we experienced were fans, not working, making it quite hot to sleep, and the washing machine was moldy. That being said, we would stay here again.

It was the worst experience I've ever had for a family vacation. The room next to mine was undergoing renovations. So we couldn’t stay in the room during the day because of drilling, sawing, etc. Then they erected scaffolding next to the master bedroom’s window to work on the neighboring window. The workers could see directly into a large mirror that faced the bed. So we didn’t have privacy for several days. It was awful.

We had an incredible stay at Poipu Shores. The view from the lanai was incredible and we could not stop watching the sea turtles in the ocean. It was great having an additional beautiful view from the bedroom and sleeping to the sounds of the ocean each night. The pool was great and we were a quick walk to Poipu beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. I would absolutely stay here again. Mahalo for the memories!

We were family of 6, all adults. Very nice view of the ocean. Really enjoyed watching the sea turtles. Easy walk to the beach. And easy drive to shopping and restaurants. Condo 103 C was spacious enough for all of us. Kitchen small but functional. Enough dishes, appliances worked well. It would be nice if we had a little bit of cleaning supplies specifically for the glass dinning table as gets finger prints on it very easily.

Beautiful location right on the water. The rooms were very spacious and the staff were amazing - very accommodating & available for anything we needed. The rooms, amenities and swimming pool have everything you need for a great stay. The turtles swimming right off the property edge was a highlight, highly recommend!

This is our second time at this place and we coincidentally got the same unit from last year! We were ecstatic because it was like coming home again. The unit was perfect for the three of us with a nice balcony ocean view. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and we enjoy making more memories each time we come to the island. This is our home away from home. Mahalo

This is a condo property located in a good spot in Poipu. The unit had everything we needed, washer and dryer and kitchen stocked with pots, pans etc. the pool area provides a great view of the ocean. The pool itself is average. Our unit could use new carpet and screen door. Good property for those who want to avoid the large and loud resorts.

Location is absolutely amazing. The views are stunning. We saw turtles everyday. Dolphins 3 times. Whales everyday (last week of March) if the unit we rented was updated thus place would be perfect. But the beds sucked. The bathtub and cupboards are aweful. But again, absolutely magnificent party of Kauai.

Amazing ocean views from the unit! The unit was clean & spacious. Great for a family of four. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery & dinner ware. There is some salt water wear & tear in the unit but that’s due to being right next to the ocean. This property is conveniently close to shops, restaurants & bars. All in all, it was a fabulous stay.

This place is worth it just for the view, it’s a beautiful oceanfront view with tons of turtles visible from the balcony. The condition of the condo was very old however and could use atleast a cosmetic fix up. The laundry was constantly dripping, guest toilet needed multiple flushes to flush. Doorknobs and bathroom ceiling fans very rusty. We weren’t spending a lot of time inside the condo so it didn’t bother us as much. Location is great as well, about a 10 min walk to the beach
