Seven Stories Rooms Zagreb - City Center Stay

The room and bathroom were very clean and fresh. Appreciated good air conditioning in the heat. Bed was comfortable with nice pillows. Security was good accomodation in a nice area close to centre. Communication with agency was easy and responses quick.

Having to get luggage up to 4th floor with no lift or no staff to assist was certainly a bit of a shock, especially straight off a 35 hour long flight. Not many food options close by, but needed to get to city centre.

We stayed in room No 5. We were worried about this stay after seeing the recent review that there were bed bugs (only saw this after we’d already booked) so we contacted the property. They were immediately very reassuring and also sent us the pest inspection certificate which put us right at ease. The apartment was extremely clean and the bathroom was classy. Good aircon unit and the location was superb. It is right near Sheraton tram stop so it’s easy to get around.

It does get a little bit noisy being off the road. Also there are 4 flights of stairs up to the apartment. They do make this clear so we aren’t complaining and it wasn’t an issue for us but just to point out that with heavy luggage or for someone with mobility issues it’s not the easiest.

Good value for money compared with other hotels in the area. The location is good — not right in the city centre, but the main square is an easy 10–15 minute walk away. The room was renovated, very clean, with an excellent bed and a good bathroom.

A few downsides: the property is on the 4th floor with no lift, and the building itself is not particularly well maintained. For instance, there was rubbish left downstairs at the entrance throughout our stay, especially beer cans and coffee cups probably from people working at the ground-floor shop. Check-in is fully automated with codes and key cards and everything is handled by chat or phone, so the experience feels quite impersonal even if efficient. There is also no regular housekeeping service, unlike other accommodation we stayed at in the country. We stayed for six days and no cleaning or room refresh was offered. We eventually managed to have the room refreshed once after requesting it and following up directly with the cleaning service, as the central service could not confirm whether anyone would be available.

There is not enough light and fresh air in the room.. The room was parfumed too much, Iritating my nose..
