L'Etable d'Evelyne

The rural community was lovely after being in small room motels for the past week. Plenty of parking, lovely bed, and great shower. Enjoyed having breakfast out on the deck in the morning.

Lovely little 1 bedroom 2 floor house on the site of a restaurant (did not try) and ice cream parlour (definitely did try😋). There is also a small swimming pool run by the parlour. Nice village close to Bastogne. A tranquil gem.

Frankly, flawless

Overall, it was a good experience. The room is compact and somewhat cramped, but well-equipped and very clean. The tea kettle went from zero to boiling in under 60 seconds, and there's a cool skylight in the bathroom. The bathroom is quite modern, and the bed was comfortable. It's quite convenient to the 501st PIR battlefields, the War Museum and downtown Bastogne. All are minutes away. There's an excellent bakery just around the corner.

The Wi-Fi was strong enough to watch movies via the Internet, but not strong enough to FaceTime or to send photos via text. Be aware that Marvie is a farming community and there may be heavy machinery rumbling down the street headed for the pastures and fields. It's not a terrible nuisance, but it is noticeable.

Quiet location ideal for couples.

Hot water didn’t last long at all.
