Description + surroundings

The decidedly original architecture of the 1970s flat is also suitable for families. It is privately inhabited, not perfectly tidy - YOU ARE OUR GUESTS!

The flat is great for children! It offers an extraordinary amount of space to play, toys and countless games available. Sleeps up to 10: 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with 7 beds (incl. cot). There is also a fully insulated sleeping loft with an additional 6 beds - a welcome retreat when things get wild in front (watch out for the neighbours!) An extendable dining table offers plenty of space (+ child seat).

Our sunny 4-room attic flat (3rd floor) has been completely renovated on the outside (+ energy-efficient) and partially renovated on the inside. It is ideally located for relaxing, shopping, sport and culture. The view from the living room (with oiled maple parquet flooring) + balcony facing south to the Medels glacier is fantastic! From the kitchen you can see the valley station of the Disentiser Bergbahnen 3000 and you can park your car in our garage (in the house).

If you prefer to travel by public transport, the Matterhorn Gotthard railway stop is a 5-minute walk away (change at Disentis station) in the direction of the Disentis-Sedrun-Andermatt ski arena.

In 3 min: shopping at COOP + restaurant, sports shop.

Our flat is an Eldorado for sports enthusiasts in summer and winter: it is situated on the edge of the village (Acla da Fontauna): sledging, biking, jogging, hiking, (meadow) football, & playing directly from the house; table tennis, sauna, & stair running in the house.

In 6 min: Disentis 3000m mountain railways + Disentis-Sedrun-Andermatt ski arena, with valley descent to the front of the house + ski tours, cross-country skiing. (guest card)

In 4 min: Varied sports centre: ice skating, tennis (indoor & outdoor), minigolf, football, climbing wall, badminton, squash, children's playground; restaurant.

Approx. 2 km: TCS campsite: wonderful bathing lake with a great children's playground. The young rocky Rhine offers the only gold prospecting opportunity in Switzerland. Not far away: the 100m high suspension bridge "La Pendenta".

Also: horse riding, golf, rays, climbing, fishing, canoeing, rafting, hunting, paragliding, ice skating, tobogganing.

Disentis: In the historically significant, Romanesque-speaking monastery village, the 1400-year-old Benedictine monastery plays a formative role in the religious, (music) cultural and educational spheres. In the 200-year-old "Stiva Grischuna/Alte Bündner Stube", in a low, dark, creaky wooden parlour in the rococo style, you can enjoy traditional food. Other shops: banks, pharmacy/drugstore, library, household goods in the village. A disco bar is within walking distance, but out of earshot.

Excursion possibilities: Over the Lukmanier Pass to the Swiss sunshine region, Ticino. Over the Oberalp Pass into the Gotthard region and Central Switzerland.
