Location is great. Toilet & bed seems clean but room carpet is dusty with thick dust at corners of room.

Room is clean, air conditioner works well, bath tub a bit dirty, shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided
As my stay is less than 4 nights, they only offer new towels everyday(in a plastic bag hanging outside the room)
Will hear the sound from the next door occasionally
Around 10mins walk to the Kyoto station and the shopping mall nearby

Paid a relatively low price for a standard Japanese room. Bed was comfy, but the tiny refrigerator in the room didn’t work. I changed rooms because the mild cigarette smell was bothering me. My new room also had a tiny refrigerator that didn’t work.
You’re super close to Kyoto Station, which is great. You can also hear the trains all the time, which may not be great.
A free self service basic breakfast is included, but if you skip it, you’re not missing much.
As others have mentioned, it sorta smells weird throughout. Very old facilities. No effort in decorating or making it look pleasant. Overall, good value and decent place to sleep, but pretty depressing/dismal hotel otherwise.
