About this cabin rental
This amazing yurt rental can be found on the banks of a river near Roanoke, Virginia. It is perfect for a family vacation as it can sleep a total of six guests and offers a range of bed options to suit the needs of the group. Guests will find all of the beds dressed in comfortable linens to ensure that they can sleep peacefully. The rental also has its own bathroom to offer glampers plenty of privacy.
Downstairs, there is a cozy living area that offers couches where guests can put their feet up and relax in front of a movie on the cable TV after an amazing day spent down at the river. There is also Wi-Fi in the yurt to ensure that guests can stay in touch with loved ones during their vacation.
Outside, glampers will be able to relax on the gorgeous deck that is beautifully furnished.

My family and I did love the property. The positives included:
- Well stocked kitchen
- Comfortable beds and bed linens
- The yurt overall was very comfortable, homey
- Nice deck for grilling and enjoying the outdoors
- Firepit stocked with wood
-secluded
- A short drive to the river, which is beautiful
-Easy check in and check out process
-Even the bathroom had nice towels
Unfortunately, there were a few negatives:
- The drive to the yurt was long each day, and a bit scary! You travel up a mountain with very steep drop offs.
- There was NO INTERNET, despite the online description. Please note this, as the description is deceiving. Unfortunately, this rendered the television completely useless. There was not even an antenna to access the news/ local channels. There was no way to use the tv, save to watch DVDs. Pack DVDs, then, as there are only 5 on the property. We ended up driving to a nearby town to buy dvds to watch at night (30 minute drive).
- The property also advertises hiking trails. Please note that these trails are NOT for hiking, but for dirt bikes and ATVs. We ended up driving to Cascade Falls (almost an hour) to hike and see the BEAUTIFUL waterfall. This was amazing, but also unfortunate that we could not really hike onsite.
We loved the yurt experience, it was lovely and very unique, and definitely close to glamping. With internet, it would have been IDEAL. The miscommunication re: internet was unfortunate. We were also disappointed about the hiking. If we were into ATVs the property would have been ideal. That being said, we will probably return, but plan accordingly.

I stayed at the property one night for a guided fly fishing trip with my 3 adult sons. The Yurt was ideal for our purpose, relax, grill steaks, socialize, and get a comfortable night's sleep. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to the New River.
