About this house rental

There is something about a clear mountain creek that brings back memories of simpler days and reminds us of the timeless joys that can be found in ordinary moments- wading barefoot into the cool water, skipping rocks, learning how to fly fish, tubing downstream on a sunny day, or swapping stories on the porch over a cup of coffee. Scenic Walker Creek, the largest tributary to the New River in Virginia, is a wide creek that winds through forests, pastures, and mountains on its journey to join the river.

Walker Creek Crossing offers all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable as well as the enduring charm of a country retreat. The spacious kitchen and dining room overlook the water and are designed for sharing meals with friends and family. Downstairs, the game room is a favorite gathering place. Walker Creek Crossing is a short drive from the Appalachian Trail, Cascade Falls, birding trails, and some prime spots for canoeing and kayaking. At just twenty-five minutes from Radford and Blacksburg, guests can enjoy a peaceful escape to the quiet countryside while still having all the convenience of nearby dining, shopping and activities.

Walker Creek Crossing is a great place to get together and return to the simple joys that turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.

Sleeps 9. Friendly, well-behaved pets will be considered for an additional fee.

This was our first VT Family Weekend visiting our freshman Hokie. We traveled with two of our kids and had another flying in from college in Boston. This house was just as described - it was spacious for all of us, clean and well equipped. The ride to/from Blacksburg was no more than 30-40 min and gave us refuge after a long day of tailgating, football game and campus activities. The communication before our trip was great and our check-in/check-out was a breeze. Thanks for making our first family trip to Blacksburg memorable!

The home was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Really enjoyed the yard and fire pit. Owner gave clear directions for check in and check out and responded to questions quickly. Highly recommend this property.

House has beautiful decorations but unfortunately common house items that either need replacing or fixed.Kitchen chair was broken, along with the bed broke on the first floor on my 3rd night. We had a issue with locking the bottom lock and got locked out.I had to go up the stairs which were very hard for myself to unlock the front door. This was resolved but i had to call the owner who gave us a quick response.I didnt realize their was a old bridge that was right outside the deck which was a eye sore. The fire pit was awesome and Tyler the (neighbors dog) gave us a visit which we enjoyed. It was easy access for the front door.We enjoyed the porch swing and it was a really nice house.I dont think i would rent again due to we are older and we would have loved to fish but to steep.I do think this house could be perfect for a family who isnt disabled like mine. Finally like i said we really enjoyed Tyler and the fire.
