Treehouses at Lake Mountain Manor

Pack some food. Head for the hills. This is the place! The tree house motif did not disappoint. Yes, you are in a tree. The cabin is surprisingly spacious with excellent use of every square inch. My kid LOVED going up and down the ladder to mom and dad's loft so much, he didn't even complain once about his pull-out (don't worry; they have bigger cabins too if that's your thing). You're a stone's throw to a private lake that you're welcomed by the host to use. The entire compound is gated and felt very private despite being a five minute drive from a town with everything you might need including antique shops, a Dollar General, and even an Italian restaurant with takeout (you have a fire pit and grilling area at the foot of the stairs of your cabin, too. Just sayin ...). Use the electric griddle in the kitchen in the morning to get the coffee brewing if it's chilly out because this is a all-four-seasons destination for families, couples, and anybody looking to get away from it all for an affordable price tag!

I loved the quiet location. I loved the novelty and quality of the treehouses. It felt like we were so far out in the country when we were minutes away from the interstate. The A/C was more than sufficient. Both treehouses were well supplied with toilet paper, utensils, cups, bowls, and plates. There was a mini fridge with freezer and a small cook top as well as a microwave. They had fire pits available too!

My only issue was the lack of small lamps in the Moonshine Treehouse. The overhead lights were great but too much for winding down in the evening. .

The treehouse was amazing! We felt like we were in an adult sized playhouse which was fun! The place had everything we needed, bathroom facilities, a kitchen nook plus a tv. My kids also loved it! The property also has a lake to fish/swim in, and some boats/paddle boards to take on the water. It was a very cozy stay and we would 100% stay again if in the area!
