Mama Bears Den is the Perfect Location to Visit the Hatfield and McCoy Trails offering access to not only one but two different trail systems (Devil Anse & Rockhouse) within a mile of the property! Devil Anse connects with a Third trial system (Buffalo) and Rockhouse a fourth trail system (Brave Heart) offering days of trials with no need to trailer to other locations! If you don’t mind about a 20 min drive there is a fifth trail system, bear wallow! Relax on the porch or by the fire pit while cooking on the grills by a scenic creek! While here visit the gravesite/monument of Devil Anse Hatfield or a small museum of Devil Anse, just a short walking distance away

We’ve been coming to HMT for about 6 years. The house was great. Clean. Well maintained. Host was readily available for any and all questions. Self check in. Love the central location between all of our normal trails. I gave it a 4 star over all because although it had free wifi there was no cellular service. For some of our crew it was difficult to keep in touch with family. The other issue was the couches were too low for our crew. I know they change to beds but sitting in them was difficult to get in and out of. With that being said, we’d rent from Gary again. He is a great host.

Mama Bears Den was very clean, well-equipped with everything you need to feel right at home! The host was very welcoming. The house isn't far from the trails... no need to trailer! We will definitely be back!

This place was a wonderful place to stay the host Gary is incredible. The house was very clean and only a short mile to the trail system down the road looks like very nice neighborhood wasn't worried about anything what do ever. Has everything you need at the house including firewood bathroom utensils and all other necessities.i would definitely think about staying there again and if you are looking and pick this place you won't be sorry!
