About this house rental
Papa Bears Den is the Perfect Location to Visit the Hatfield and McCoy Trails offering access to not only one but two different trail systems (Devil Anse & Rockhouse)within a mile of the property! Devil Anse connects with a Third trial system (Buffalo) offering days of trials with no need to trailer to other locations! Relax on the porch or by the fire pits while cooking on the grills by a scenic creek! While here visit the gravesite or museum of Devil Anse, just a short walking distance away
We offer a fully stocked kitchen, which is equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, a regular coffee pot, and toaster. We also provide towels, washcloths, and hand towels in each bathroom, along with a couple rolls of toilet tissue. Our bedrooms each contain a flatscreen TV and provide you with queen size beds (linens provided). 2 of our bedrooms contain 2 queen size beds is each room. The 3rd bedroom contains a bunk bed with queen size mattress on the bottom, a twin on top, and a trundle underneath. This will provide our guests with a total of 5 queen beds and 2 twins. Our house also offers additional sleeping with 4 futon couches located in the living room.
Our outdoor area is a great place to sit & relax on the deck, enjoy the scenery of a beautiful stream of water and a waterfall in the rainy season or after a heavy rain. The creek would also be nice to wade in. There are 2 fire pits, 2 grills and 2 picnic tables. Some wood and charcoal is provided (additional wood for the fire pit can be provided a donation would be appreciated but not required).

This has been one of the best vacation experiences of our life! Gary gets 1000 stars for how welcoming and informative he has been and thank you for the recommendations as well. Listen...if you want a trip filled with off road excitement look no further. We trailered to Bear Wallow only because didnt want that much hard top of newer tires. Literally everything else went right from this property. Everything we needed was here except the groceries we wanted. Convenient fuel 4 miles away woth more friendly folks. Plenty of room for multiple groups. We just had our favorite friends with us...3 of our furr babies! Mama Beagle even did 2 trails with us! Thank you again a d we have our go-to HM/Mingo county vacation stay now!

Property was great, in a nice location to fit my f450 and gooseneck trailer. Inside was still decorated for Christmas which was nice. The stream in the backyard with fire pit made for a relaxing evening. Host was awesome. Will definitely be back

What a wonderful stay we had. The house was fabulous and had everything you could think of. We would definitely stay here again
