No remote control for the TV for first night stay, and 3 singles instead of a double and single which I specifically booked. Very noisy, sirens at all hours.

Good location for Alexander Stadium.

Night time door banging could be reduced.

The staff were nice , the shower was great , the noise wasn’t too bad. Live music was amazing.

The bed was broken , mattress was super uncomfortable, there was dirt all in the sheets, I didn’t sleep well at all bed was beyond not comfortable

We stayed on a Friday night and there was a DJ until 1am. Couldn't actually hear the music from the room so that was good. Could hear a bit of rowdiness after though, but didn't last long. The room had no bin, or loo brush which I thought was a bit odd and although the bathroom was clean, it was bit tired looking. There was also no TV remote but as we weren't there long it wasn't a big deal, maybe I needed to ask for one at reception..? I would stay here again though, the location was perfect for what we needed.

The bathroom ceiling was peeling. The TV didn't work. The disco in the bar was so loud when I tried to book in that I couldn't hear or be heard comfortably. This disco went on to midnight all three nights I was there - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There was no tea and coffee in the room, not even a glass for tap water.

The place stinks And there was mould in the rooms the electricity wasn’t working and there was no mirrors It’s disgusting wouldn’t leave my dog there. They provided one toilet for a 3 family room

Room wasn't the cleanest, floors were dirty and toilet had stains in from the previous customers. Hadn't realized the rooms are above the bar with loud music playing until the early hours. It was a scorching hot day, and we had to close the windows due to the smell of cannabis coming in through the window. When the bar closed at around 1am, there was about 30 minutes of loud talking and banging doors as people went up to their rooms, etc. Water pressure is an issue here, the toilet took around 30 minutes to fill. When we arrived, the taps worked, but the next time we went to use them, no water came out of hot or cold. The shower is the same, worked until around 9am when others started waking up, and then the water flow would stop entirely, or just a tiny dribble of water would come out. Our expectations weren't huge given the price of the room only being £51 for 3 people, however had thought it would be clean, and that we'd be able to get a good nights sleep.

They accommodated an afterhours check-in.

Key to my room didn't workook, then it took ages to get me another room, which involved opening doors to occupied rooms at 1am, to the surprise of the customers in there. The bed was broken with a massive hole in it. The sheets were dirty. Only one sheet over mattress (no cover or anything) Food on the floor (takeaway rice and veg would be my guess) and on the mattress One single toilet paper rool dried out from previously wet (maybe toilet-dropped?) Shower head broken and leaking water, hindering water pressure Shower drain filthy with hair, grime, and whatever else (so gross!) Broken clothes hanger Sticky window handles Potential bedbugs (visible orange marks on mattress and bedframe) Other people's hair in shower (floor and wall) Mould on shower floor, shower head, and shower pipe Dirt and food in drawers Hair and dust on counters Leftover screws and old shampoo bottle left in drawers No bin No toilet brush Smelly towels Missing lightbulb

The location was perfect for us. We didn’t have breakfast there due to eating out with friends.

The whole rooms felt stuffed 😫 the toilets and bathrooms were not cleaned very dirty and disgusting and the common toilets smelt very bad which covered the corridors and there was no tissue in one of our rooms the beds where very uncomfortable and broken

The room was very clean and tidy. The bathroom also with a very good shower.

Unfortunately, no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room. No bin for rubbish in either bedroom or bathroom. Breakfast was advertised. But not available, either morning of my stay. Before I stayed, I phoned to enquire what bus service was available from the City Centre. The Pubs Landlady did not know AND DID NOT OFFER TO HELP!!!! Was told to 'Google bus timetable '. As I was travelling from Middlesbrough, and had never been to Birmingham before, travelling solo, getting to City Centre at 19.30....I found this level of 'help' unacceptable!!! I had no alternative, but to take a taxi , which cost £35. On my return to my room on Wednesday night... tired from being at a conference all day( 2100) my room key was displaced ( I followed instructions to place it in a black box, on leaving that morning)...I had to wait 10 minutes for the key to be located!!!

filthy, broken bed, broken furniture, no curtains, disgusting floor, bathroom was disgusting had to clean it myself, no bin in the room, staff weren’t helpful at all.

Rooms are very dirty, mouldy and smelly, the manager and staff are to keen to tell you what they can't do for you but there are not keen to tell you why the TV doesn't work, why the WIFI doesn't work, and are very quick to make you feel like it's your problem because you can't accept a dirty room with bodily fluids on the walls and mould and wholes in the ceiling and smelly rooms. The manager states that is normal for hotels to not have the WIFI working and the rooms are what they are! I made a mistake by trusting Booking.com to expect a decent standard and tried to contact the 24/7 customer service and there was no way to reach anybody - EXTREMLY Disappointed with Booking.com and I will never use Booking.com again!

The bedding was clean

Loud music until 2am, traveller children running up and down the corridors kicking bedroom doors and shouting racial slurs at 2.30am. The TV didnt work, there were no tea making facilities, the shower had mould in it. The key code door was broken and appeared to have not been repaired in some time. The staff appeared surprised we had been stupid enough to book a room.

Almost non-existent wi fi ie 1am some access for 5 mins. Rest of the place was good.

I didn’t like anything without the parking area.

The First Lady refused to check in as we got late at the property because of motorway closures I booked a room in rush which was near available. Secondly, finally, we checked in after one hour of struggle than the last in reception gave us a twin bed room with was totally dirty floor, one face towel and one bath towel for the couple to use and when I entered in washroom there no toilet roll, someone used before us and soap and shower gel was on the tray. I paid £45 for that property for 7 hours of sleep not worth it.

That the price was good and there was ample parking.

Terrible bed made the stay very uncomfortable. No shower towels just one small towel and a bath mat! Blinds that were broken and did not shut out the light. Very poor standards.

Upon arrival, I encountered an extremely impolite lady at the reception who checked in my sister before me and did not request any ID. But when it was my turn, she demanded my ID. I politely inquired why, and she immediately began mocking me and making faces. I asked her what the issue was and reminded her that I am a customer who deserves an explanation as she had not asked my sister.. at that moment, all broke lose. She continued to be rude, claiming that even if I reported her to the manager, nothing would happen as they were close. Feeling uncomfortable with her behavior, I was shocked when she started swearing and telling me to leave and go book somewhere else i asked wat are the reasons. I asked if she was sure about that and asked over 5 times if the manager allowed her to behave in that manner towards customers she said yes without hesitation there was people in the bar i felt very stupid and upset as i was looking forward to enjoy my weekend away ..Despite wanting to depart, my sister asked me to stay. The lady at the reception appeared intoxicated and continued to mimic me and told me to F..off. This unwelcoming experience has left me feeling scared and traumatised, prompting me to report this incident to the hotel owner I recorded this incident as I felt this was total unfair for me and jus incase she switched her behaviour to blame me ...at the end someone else came and checked me in it was so upsetting to be put in such a situation...the lady who served me then apologised but I still feel I should have never been put in such a atmosphere..and I want that receptionist to apologise to me because her behaviour is uncalled for and should not work with public if they can not serve them appropriately.

Pub was nice and staff are lovely. The rooms are basic but clean.

The windows in the room were locked. That made me uneasy because it’s an escape route in case of fire. No tea making facilities in the room. We went to order breakfast which is advertised but was only offered an egg or bacon sandwich. Still no cup of tea offered.
