We rented both cabins for a large group. They are just as described. True cabins in the woods. Some bugs here and there, yes, again cabin in the woods. We absolutely adored these houses. Had everything we needed plus some. Sofa beds are aged, but kids didnt mind.
The drive down to the water did require 4x4, we had on and off rain, but we didnt pay attention to the fact that there was another, easier route until several days in. We still chose the 4x4 route. It was a fun challenge for us. The location by water was the absolute best. Super quiet and way back in Brushy. We LOVED it. The dock needs some love, we fell through a few spots, but didnt stop us from living our best lives. We actually tied 3 boats up to it but again, we know how to make do and arent scared of a challenge.
We would definitely rent again.
If you have a large group, are looking for a true adventure in the woods, rent both!

My family stayed for thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures didn’t do the beautifully rustic cabin justice. We enjoyed the front porch and fires, driving down to the lake to explore with our kids, and playing games in the warm living room. Kids slept great in upstairs loft and one of the queens downstairs was comfortable (the other was springy lumpy noisy). Communication was friendly with quick responses. I highly recommend this place!

Cabin was great, but needs to be cleaned cause the spider webs and dog hair everywhere was not ok. Make sure you have a 4x4 truck cause you won’t make it in with anything else. Oh and hang up the lake access cause you aren’t getting there unless you want to hike down a steep terrain with a chance of getting poison ivy. Now the view of the lake was beautiful ! Secluded cabin I think not!!!! There is a cabin right next door like 30 feet away. And private is not happening cause there is not blinds for privacy at all on the 1st floor. Also, Someone tried to break into our truck while we were in bed. Would I recommend staying here no.
