City Centre, 5 star Ground Floor

We booked this lovely apartment in the Tollcross area to be within walking distance of the university and the city centre for our son’s graduation. It’s spacious, well kept and well-furnished, with a very comfortable bed. I appreciated that the host made an effort to ensure the flat was ready for an early check-in when we arrived in Edinburgh. The host provided plenty of information in good time, regarding both the flat and staying in Edinburgh. We’re reasonably familiar with the city, but that would have been a big help to the first-time visitor. I also give bonus marks to any property that keeps a stock of tea, coffee and sugar for guests.

It’s a very small thing: I would have liked to open the windows in the front room to get some fresh air, but it’s a ground floor flat with almost floor to ceiling windows and they open directly onto the street, so it felt too noisy and exposed to do so.

Check in was made very easy. The place was lovely and within a walking distance from the old town and the castle. Everything was done very smoothly and we were informed about everything very well
