JOIVY Stylish Castle View Flat with Balcony

La ubicación es excelente: a 15 minutos andando está la parada del autobús 100 que conecta con el aeropuerto y a 10 minutos caminando llegas a Grassmarket. El apartamento que nos ha tocado tiene unas vistas muy bonitas al castillo. Es pequeño, pero muy acogedor, con una decoración muy inglesa. La calefacción tiene mucha potencia y los radiadores son regulables, puedes ajustar cada uno a la temperatura que quieras. La cocina es nueva y tiene todo lo necesario. Hay un kit con café, leche, té y galletas de bienvenida. El wifi funciona bastante bien. La cama es cortita, pero muy cómoda. Las instrucciones del check in están bien indicadas y la comunicación con los propietarios es fluida y rápida.

El apartamento necesita una reforma. Las puertas y el suelo están deformados por la humedad (la puerta del pasillo es mejor no tocarla, porque podría caerse). La potencia del agua de la bañera es muy baja. El dormitorio da a la calle, donde hay un pub, así que se oye gente hablando y música. Es mejor llevar tapones.

The location was fantastic with an unobstructed view of the castle and a block from Grass Market. Grass Market is a happening spot with plenty of cool restaurants and pubs. The bus stop to catch the hop on hop off busses is directly in front of Grass Market

The furnishings are not super stylish, but the apartment is very clean Clean and convenient location are the most important things to me.

Location was excellent, couple of mins walk to bars, restaurants and Edinburgh castle. Good communication from hosts and easy access instructions

The location is fantastic! Right around the corner from Victoria Street, The Royal Mile, Princes Street, the National Museum and heaps of other must-do places! The kitchen was nice with new appliances and a great washing machine. Large bedroom with a built-in mirrored wardrobe was great to store away suitcases and hang items. Bed was warm and comfortable. Has heating in every room except the bathroom.

The "balcony" is not a balcony at all, it is just the external entrance to the property so the title of this place and the photo of the table and chairs is misleading. It didn't really bother me as it was too cold during my stay to even want to use it, but if you are booking this property for the promise of the balcony, don't. Everything was just old and rundown, and many things were broken or breaking. The clothesline was missing a leg so it needed to be resting up against a wall to stay upright. The bedframe was missing some pieces. The vinyl of the couch has peeled away completely. The TV is very old and I couldn't get it to connect to the WiFi to use it for streaming which was disappointing. The temperature gage on the fridge doesn't work very well, my food was either frozen or warm. Most spaces were a good size, however the bathroom is quite tiny and it was a tight squeeze just for me. If 2 people were to stay here I can foresee this being an issue for them. Overall, it is very clear that this place is operated by a company and not an individual. It is not cared for properly which greatly reduces the quality of the stay. If you don't really care about the quality of a place then the location is a great reason to book this place.
