Ben Nevis Adventure Weekend!

The property was very well furnished/exceptionally clean and Louise was very welcoming and literally 'over the road' if there were any problems. The general location was perfect for our visit as we were there to climb Ben Nevis. The local pub 'The Lochy' was very welcoming and there are takeaway options as well as a Co-op within 5 minutes of the property. There is a beautiful 'lochside walk' within 10 minutes of the property which was ideal for morning/evening walks with our dog.

The specific location of the property is within a large estate which was slightly surprising based on the photographs and we would have preferred it to be a little less 'built up'

Excellent master and good location . Easy parking and convenient store just 1 minute walking distance

Louise is very nice person! She is very kind to answer my question quickly. Everything is very helpful. It’s very quiet at night, so you can have a good sleep!

The bathroom outside: Shower room is a open space (no door no curtain) , so it’s all wet after the first guest has bath finished. We all felt very trouble about this.

Very clean and cosy house, very friendly host, very enjoyable holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay because the house was very clean and cosy. You instantly felt at home. Whenever we had a question our host was ready to help. Also, the house is located very conveniently if you want to explore the surrounding area (Mallaig, Glencoe, West Highlands in general).

Very comfortable stay

Quality furnishings, immaculately clean, location was quiet and near some gentle walks along the canal and Loch. Easy drive to Fort William and surrounding Glen Nevis Ranges. Kids liked having separate bedrooms.

Good

The house is very well kept, features all modern conveniences including a very fast internet connection and Louise is a most attentive and caring host, the service provided is impeccable. The narrow staircase might pose a problem for less agile persons. Two of the bed-rooms upstairs are very small and the double bed in the master bed-room is quite narrow (140cm?). The location is residential and at first sight not overly attractive. However, at the second glance the neighbours are very friendly, it is very quiet and there is a pub with most attentive service within walking distance, but downtown Fort Williams is a good 10 minutes by car. The Caledonian Canal and Neptune's staircase are close.

Perfect home for a longer stay in the Highlands!

Louise gave us a sterling reception, welcoming us as we arrived. Communications with her were excellent throughout; could not have asked for more. The property itself literally has everything one could ask for. Particularly loved the small touches that really make a difference, such as a starter pack of coffee/tea, dish washer/washing machine tablets, washing up liquid etc. Just makes everything easier. The property generally has everything you could ask for, and is very spacious to boot. The bathrooms and the entire building are modern and well kept, we all felt instantly at home. The location is perfect for day trips from Caol to the surrounding areas, day trips of all sorts, and is handily close to shops and a few pubs, not to mention the Caol waterfront/beach. All in all: we will be back.

Appreciated the most is the dedication of the host, the unit is so clean and well maintained; Made our stay so comfortable and made us feel like home. I would highly recommend this place to those who wants to stay in Fort William.

We had a great 5 day stay at Failte Mhor. The house is well equipped it's spacious, comfortable, modern and is kept immaculately clean. Louise is a lovely host, she was very helpful and pays attention to every little detail. The welcome treats and extras were a nice surprise.

Very well equipped, great and comfortable house..

Very homely, excellent facilities for the dog.

A bit surprised the garage was in use during our stay, with 2 dogs also in attendance. Only an issue as were not warned and could have let our dog out to face the 2 dogs,; our dog isn't dog friendly being a rescue dog .

3 night stay for Ben Nevis climb

Extremely clean, beds comfy & bathroom & en-suite well appointed with excellent showers. Situated on the Coal estate, a short walk away from Neptune’s staircase & 10 min taxi to Ben Nevis visitor centre. Easy parking & friendly neighbours. Host is very friendly & helpful.

The property is somewhat overlooked. There is currently no oven of freezer facility (no freezer compartment in the fridge) otherwise the kitchen is very well appointed. We unfortunately hadn’t realised & had taken tray bakes & pies which the host kindly took away & cooked for us which was very much appreciated! Inability to effect the heating in the evening.

Clean and modern shared accommodation

The accommodation was super clean, not just our room but also the kitchen and shared bathroom. The kitchen was nicely equipped and we also had a lot of space for our own groceries. The location was also convenient for us, just 5-minute drive to Ben Nevis.

The rooms had very thin walls and the other guests were not considerate. Late at night we had to ask our neighbours to turn down the TV and the following night we had to listen to other neighbours' noisy phone call and heard not just mumbling but literally every single word. Unfortunately, this little bit spoiled otherwise overall positive experience.

The owner is nice. The room and livingroom are very comfortable. Kitchen is big and fully equipped. Free Cereal for breakfast. Good and high technology in house. Everything is good! Just be careful the checkin time,because the owner need to introduce this house.
