About this apartment rental

Attic apartment of 60 square meters, in addition to the terrace of 35 sqm with table for outdoor dining.
Just renovated, has a large living room with exposed beams and oak floor, overlooking the terrace, a master bedroom with stunning views of the mountains and lake, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a kitchen equipped and functional.
The house, surrounded by greenery, is 1. 2 km from the center of the village is within walking distance in 15 minutes using a stone staircase very particular or by car in 5 minutes.
The grocery store in the country offers free home delivery shopping.
Ideal for those who do not like the car, the apartment is easily accessible as it is only 10 minutes walk from the funicular (stop Carescione)
For those who arrive by car, we recommend you pay attention to the narrow roads that cross the country and that make it so special.

What an amazing property with a spectacular view of Como, The Swiss Alps and on a clear day Milano. Our hosts Benedetta and Alberto are awesome to deal with and made sure our stay met our expectations. The apartment is well appointed, the master bedroom big and the bed very comfortable. The location is a hikers paradise. Because the apartment is in a hill town you are either walking uphill or down. To get to and from Como you can take the Funicular (cable car) or drive if you have a car. The deck is the perfect place to relax, lay in the sun and have a glass of wine. It is so peaceful and quiet you will think you’re in Heaven. Thank you for an amazing stay!

We liked everything in our stay but the access is quite complicated. If you are not used to drive in narrow streets it can be very tricky. The funicular is great but is at a walking distance to be taken into account when you plan your day. Otherwise everything was great.

We were with 6 people in total. 3 adults, 3 children. Alberto and Benedetta did everything in there power to make our stay a good one! The communication was also good and fast via what’s app or personal. The apartment was beautiful and clean. A lot bigger than we thought. A little to small for 6 people, but not impossible! We tried with help of Alberto to order groceries from the supermarket but when we arrived at the supermarket it was not possible to get a delivery. That makes it difficult with a lot of people and grocery shopping. We where by train, so we did everything walking. That is a challenge! Especially for people who have problems with walking!! The apartment would be perfect if there was also a little bit more shade because the terras is constantly in the sun (we liked that fyi), a swimming pool or jacuzzi to cool off would be nice because you can not easily swim in the como lake nearby and a swimming pool/beach is not close to the apartment and expensive to do every day. But we had a nice stay. Thank you Benedetta and Alberto!

You cannot beat this view of Como! Magical! Only drawback is that you have to be a capable driver to make it to this apartment. The roads are tight and can be tricky to navigate. We also enjoyed the restaurant options in the area and went to Il Falchetto 3 times during our stay of 4 nights ;)

The property is fantastic, the location is beautiful however getting up and down the mountain is something that is a bit of a challenge sometimes with the very narrow roads in some parts and this can slow you down a bit ( a very minor inconvenience for such a great place to stay) - this has absolutely nothing to do with the wonderful property or the kindness of Benedetta and Alberto throughout our stay. The house has everything you need to relax and enjoy an amazing view each day, sunrise and sunset are fantastic with the views of the city and the alps as described. Locally there are great restaurants (highly recommend the Falchetto just 500m away from the house) and facilities in the village and the history is very interesting. We are very grateful for the time we spent here and will be staying again for sure, thankyou Benedetta and Alberto!

It can't get much quieter than this location overlooking the beautiful town of Como. The unit is as advertised and the terrace is fantastic. Easy walk to the funicolare once you get tickets (ticket machine at the top was broken and would only sell one-way, so needed to go to the bottom to buy returns). Short ride to the lake. Brunate has some great hikes and parks. Enjoy.

Right from the start Benedetta and Alberto were welcoming and helpful. The description of the apartment is accurate and the photos true. We bought the 30 day funicular card- but you can only buy this at the main ticket office, at the bottom, and only early morning when it is not busy as it takes about ten minutes to process each card. The funicular is very busy during the day so best to go down early and return late, this was not a hardship! The views over Como are stunning and the deck is a joy to sit on and watch the evening lights come on in the city. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a couple or a family.

We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed it tremendously. The view is breathtaking. You wont get bored looking at Como, the lake and the alps . You can see at least 50 km around. And the view changes during the day and with the weather. As another guest remarked: there is not much shade in the afternoon. I brought a tarp with poles which I set up by securing the lines to the balcony fencing to create extra shade. You need to follow instructions from the owners to get there as otherwise some routes proposed by your nav system will bring you to very steep and narrow streets. Prepare for a steep climb from Como. There is plenty of info in the appartment including maps with walks. The lighthouse is nice and the walk to Torno and back by ferry is very nice.

Well equiped apartment with an amazing view. Located in a quiet area, bit isolated. 10 min walk to cable tram with connection to Como. A minus is that there is no air conditioning nor insect screens in front of the windows and doors. Nevertheless we really recommend this accommodation and we had a great time at Brunate. We look forward to stay again at Villa Elvi soon!

A fantastically equipped apartment, with everything we needed. The views over Como and the mountains was awesome with a huge balcony to sit out on in the sun. Benedetta and Alberto were super helpful and great hosts. We made our booking with very short notice as it was a last minute decision to stop in Como on our way back home to Copenhagen and it was no problem for Benedetta and Alberto. Would definitely stay again.

PERFECT ! The panoramic view from the sleeping room and terrace is amazing. The appartment is rather small, but with the big terrace you have a much bigger feeling. For us 4 (2 + 2 children (15 + 13 y), it was superb. In the house, you find everything you need. We even liked the small roads in the village. For us it's sure, we're going back in 2017 !

È un bellissimo posto di partenza per fare delle passegggiate e godersi sentieri non troppo impegnativi con delle belle viste. La cucina è buona, pur piccola, per cui ci vuole una buona pianificazione per chi vuole cucinare menù impegnativi. Ci sono nelle vicinanze però tanti ristoranti e trattorie, per cui non ci sono problemi. Ci siamo trovati bene e due adulti possono godersi una bella vacanza.

Es war wirklich ein außergewöhnlicher Urlaub. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht. Man kann mit dem Auto bis vor die Wohnung fahren. Die Bergstation der Standseilbahn ist in 20 Min. zu Fuß (steil bergauf) zu erreichen. Unten in Como sind dann direkt Bahnhof und Schiffsanleger. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist einmalig, Wir sind sehr zufrieden.

Die Straßen sind sehr eng für eine Autoanreise. Der Weg lohnt sich aber: Frische, kühle Luft und ein herrlicher Ausblick! Gut, dass der Funiculare in der Nähe ist, so kann man das Auto stehen lassen. Weil es eine Bedarfshaltestelle auf dem Weg nach unten gibt, braucht man auch nur bergab zu gehen. Es war eine tolle Woche!

Schöne, helle Ferienwohnung, sehr sauber - das beste aber der tolle Blick vom Schlafzimmerfenster und von der Terrasse auf Como und den See! Hat uns wirklich gut gefallen! Brunate ist auch ohne Auto gut zu erreichen. Wir haben uns für die Woche ein Dauerticket für die Standseilbahn gekauft (Monatsticket für 35€). Das war eine ideale Mischung: unten in Como das quirlige Stadtleben und oben in Brunate totale Ruhe und Entspannung. Brunate ist auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für relativ leichte Bergwanderungen. Die Vermieter Benedetta und Alberto waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Die Wohnung ist in gutem Zustand in guter, ruhiger Lage. Freundlicher Empfang, Wilkommensgetränke inklusive. Zu einer noch besseren Beurteilung fehlt ein Tisch vor dem Sofa, sowie Handtuchhalter oder Haken im Bad. Leider ist der vorhandene Sonnenschirm nicht geeignet um damit Schatten für die Liegen zu spenden.

Ma première surprise concerne l'accès à la villa,une route très très étroite en montée ,me donne du fil à retordre avec ma voiture trop large pour les routes de la région. Accueillis par Benedetta et la mama qui parle français,visite de la location fidèle au descriptif ,boissons fraîches offertes au réfrigérateur. Nous sommes très bien reçu par la maîtresse des lieux qui se propose même de nous accompagner pour une visite guidée de Brunatte. L 'appartement est propre est bien agencé avec une grande terrasse et une vue incroyable sur Come et son lac. Pas de problème de parking ,un vrais luxe dans cette région . J'aurai apprécié la clim dans la chambre . Je recommande vivement cette location pour passer des vacances agréables au calme.

Het appartement voldeed aan onze verwachting, mooi, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is werkelijk fenomenaal! Enig minpuntje was het gebrek aan schaduw op het terras. De parasol was te klein van formaat. Het appartement is gelegen in een rustig deel van Brunate. Naar centrum van Brunate is best een onderneming (flinke intensieve wandeling) In Brunate zijn paar kleine winkeltjes met beperkte keuze, voor uitgebreide supermarkt moet je via flink aantal haarspeldbochten de berg af naar Como. De eigenaren van het appartement zijn bijzonder vriendelijk en we konden uitstekend met ze overleggen. Het appartement is een aanrader voor ondernemende mensen en voor rustzoekers.
