"Amazing place. The house has historic value itself and you could see it straightaway. It is a bit pricey but the experience was worthwhile."

    Fantastic cottage steeped in history.
Fantastic little cottage! Lovely and clean, full of features and enough space for all of us. Very close to lots of shops, pubs, bakeries and history! It made our little getaway for my sons 30th a great experience. I was worried about the hot water running out as per other reviews, but with 1-2 showers for 6 of us each during the day we were fine.
If I had to pick one gripe it's the bathroom downstairs...the toilet seat was very loose (we didnt have time to let them know) and the door was very hard to open (gets stuck in). But I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very disappointing communication and unrealistic expectation of clients.
The location and cottage were very interesting historically, pleasant friendly local citizens and people in town's shops and businesses.
Much difficulty finding and getting into the cottage, very poor and inconsistent instructions between written and those verbally from managing staff who obviously didn't know the property about facilities and location. Unreasonable demands made on renting clients such as myself eg to water the large number of potted plants at front and on back patio ( some of which were dead when I arrived), to let gardener and oil delivery people to pass through property and different times. There was very poor internet reception and TVs didn't seem to be working so the only media I had was intermittently on my phone!

excellent location 1 minute from burford high street. photos on site didnt do it justice. incredibly well equipped with all mod cons but original features retained. beautifully furnished.
its a small thing but the secondary lock on the front door really needs to be sorted out. it took quite a while fiddling with the lock to open it

Fabulous charming property. Great location. Lovely facilities.
The welcome box was a lovely touch. The property is stunning, such character. The showers were great. It had all the facilities that we could have wanted for our stay. The pub next door served delicious food (We had breakfast and dinner).
The bed in the small double room was a little saggy.

Absolutely loved the character of the house, fab rental

Great location, great heritage but not sure how much care and attention had been put in getting it ready for next guests
    location, heritage, space, fireplace, heating
Mattress and pillows very uncomfortable, cleaners hadn’t finished cleaning the property (refer to my direct message), just not convinced on how clean it was. Being next door to a construction site was not ideal given the noise, perhaps price should have been adjusted for this and guests should be advised prior to booking
