Not easy to take a walk from property, fast cars in narrow lanes

A wonderful rural retreat; spotlessly clean,and the owners were very friendly. Everything we needed was provided. The small town of Raglan is a short drive away.( Mini Tesco and petrol station).

Really good location, lovely and peaceful, with access to many surrounding areas - if you don’t mind travelling! Carmen (host) was lovely and friendly, greeted us at the start of our stay and then left us to it. She gave us lots of recommendations and useful information about the property. The Pheasant One was clean, comfortable and cosy! The place was perfect for what we wanted - a self-catered holiday home with close on-site parking. Check-in and out was easy and it had everything we needed with fantastic scenery all around. Overall, an amazing find and would highly recommend! (Would also recommend a visit to Raglan Castle, which is about a 10 minute drive away from The Pheasant One!) Thank you very much Carmen and Gwilym!
Nothing we didn’t like. Would just say to be patient with the wifi and the hot water, it took a while to come through in the kitchen.

Light & airy & clean. Stable doors front & back so you could open each/both depending where the sun was. Owners very friendly & informative. Nothing too much trouble. Picnic bench /outside seating at your disposal. Allocated parking space. Lovely view. Peaceful. Perfect for what we needed. The Ship Inn, Raglan served lovely food as did Dil Indian cuisine in Usk. Free parking in Raglan and Usk.
It’s not a gripe, just be aware you have to drive to get anywhere ( unless your purpose is walking). Shop in Raglan closes at 6.30pm weekdays but cooperative in Usk open until 10 (I think)
The cost of parking in Cardiff NCP is extortionate, recommend you find another car park.
