Lovely weekend away

Great location. Short walk to the pub and short drive into Coniston. The house is well kitted out and comfortable for 4.

The fan in the shower is really noisy. I managed to wake everyone up going for a wee in the night.

Excellent location , confortable cottage that provides a good base for exploring local area .

Great location , within walking distance of two pubs . Lots of walking trails from front door , sun- trap terrace at front of property ( we were very lucky with the weather ) accurate description of cottage online .

The cottage is a conversion and there is a lot of noise from the flat above ..You can hear every trip to the loo , every tap being turned on every footstep and even hear what they are watching on tv . Bring earplugs 😀

Lovely stay and lovely property, just a slight shame about the arrival and overall cleanliness

Perfectly located for shortish walks to the likes of Wray Castle and Lake Windermere. Had wonderful pub, serving great food within 3 minutes walk of property.

Despite being notified we could check in from 1500hrs (we arrived at 1515hrs), the cleaners were still in the property and had thought it was a 1600hrs check in time. This meant sitting outside in the very warm sun, waiting to get into property. We also found a dirty towel on the back of one of the bedroom doors and a couple of the pots that weren't totally clean, sufficient for use.

a really lovely stay,

The location was good, the patio area right outside was lovely. Easy access to some good walks and a lovely pub 2 mins walk away. It was spacious enough for a small family, it was also nice and clean

Quite dated inside. the bathroom fan sounded like a motorbike running and you couldn't turn it off so we opted to not use the light! New crockery and glassware that matched would be a nice touch just to smarten it up. The rug in the lounge was just a fluff ball - we rolled it up and removed it.

Peaceful accommodation

Clear instructions on how to reach the cottage. Fully equipped with everything we would need.

It was a little strange that the freezer and washing machine were in the boiler room. This was not the most convenient, as we had to run out of the cottage to get our ice cream or check on the laundry.

the ceiling is very thin and you can hear everything the upstairs neighbours are doing 😏

we had a good stay

For us, it was a good place for leaving and arriving from our day trips. It is silent there, Parking right at the entrance. Washing machine is there. Rooms are big enough. Outside you see to the meadows.

We already looked at google, where it is. Because if you arrive, when it is dark, it is not so easy to find. The price is a bit expensive, it is not so new, but we felt ok, after warming up the cottage.

Ein guter Ort zum Entspannen

Sehr gute Ausgangslage für Wanderungen unmittelbar vom Cottage, gutes Wetter vorausgesetzt. Ansonsten liegen auch Ambleside oder Windermere in der Nähe. Ausstattung vom Cottage ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig.

Leider ist das Pub im Ort geschlossen und wartet auf einen neuen Betreiber.
