Staying at Sofuan was the highlight of my Japan trip. The host met us on arrival and was able to show us around the house. There were so many interesting features and beautiful architecture, and there were little notes explaining the history of each one. There was a beautiful view into the garden and the bath was amazing! I would recommend this beautiful house to anyone interested in learning more about Japanese traditional houses and culture.

This house is lovely. The owner met us at the property to show us around and made us a Macha tea with traditional sweets. Everything is within walking distance which is a perfect way to explore Kanazawa. This house feels like an authentic way to stay in Kanazawa.
