About this house rental
Our beautiful one bedroom suite accommodates 2 guests and is located centrally between the villages of Mill Bay, Shawnigan Lake and Cobble Hill. Our property is set in the midst of a valley with working dairy farms, a winery and a cidery - each with their own restaurant, and both within a 15 minute stroll. Our corner of the Cowichan Valley abounds with recreational opportunities - great walking and hiking trails, kayak rentals, fishing charters, water-skiing, golf courses, tennis and pickleball, mountain biking and more! Close by is the seaside village of Cowichan Bay, and Duncan - home to a year-round Farmer's Market. Of course, the Cowichan Valley is famous for its many wineries, craft breweries and distilleries. The vibrant city of Victoria with all of its festivals, entertainments and events, is only a 45 minute drive away.
Enjoy your spacious deck with a breathtaking view of rolling fields and hills to the west, so you capture the gorgeous sunsets as you relax in the evening. Enter through your private entrance into an open, dining, living and kitchen area well-lit by large skylights, situated to enjoy the sunrise with your morning coffee. The living room is equipped with a SmartTV with both Netflix and Prime, Super Fast Internet, books and games. A ductless heat pump offers both air conditioning and heat for your comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and everything you may need for your cooking enjoyment - including your apron! If it’s available book here your stay will be refreshing. The privacy and the serene vista out of the windows capturing sunrises and sunsets over the grassy meadows is soul food.The layout of this suite is well appointed placing the bedroom on the back away from the road/driveway.Even a rainy afternoon was refreshing from the covered deck. Never heard any noise from the main house. Only birds, and distant cows.A rare gem nestled well between the mid island communities near enough to make easy day trips yet far enough away for a quiet retreat. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is spa sized. Overall this rental is a rare find … enjoy!
