Studio Apartment, Covent Garden

The location is absolutely fabulous and the bed was very comfortable. Everything we needed - washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, hairdryer and full kitchen. It was a heatwave but with the blinds drawn and the fan on it wasn’t bad at all!

The property is ‘tired’. Overall the place was clean but we had the top floor apartment and although there is a roof-top terrace it was not well kept, it needed a good clean hence we didn’t want to use it. The spiral staircase is narrow and steep but it was clearly at one point a stylish property. We passed the second floor flat while the cleaner was there and that looked so much nicer. That said we would deffo stay again due to where it was!

Location was superb with less than a 5 minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station, so travelling from Heathrow was super efficient on the Piccadilly Line. Easy to access Central London.

Guy was a fantastic accommodating host and the location was excellent.

In the pictures the room looked bright and the cabinetry seemed quite new but it's actually a bit run down. The stairs were very narrow which didn't bother us but would be very difficult with large luggage. We only had carry on.

Location was good. On a very noisy street with party animals with pub across the lane and pub on the corner. Good to have kitchen facility.

The shower: the head so loose on the wall would not stay in place, and leaked. So had to hold it there and wash with other hand, quite the trick. No shelf to put soap/shampoo on, pick up every time from floor. A soap dispenser on wall would fix that. Even better a tiny corner shelf. Not advised in description of room that shampoo and conditioner not supplied. (I bring my own anyway) just a common courtesy. The ceiling leaks on the bathroom floor when the above unit showers! No side table on RH side of bed, very inconvenient. No top sheet. Only duvet. I wonder if it's washed every time for new guests? A lot of trouble and time than just washing a top sheet. I doubt the owners have ever stayed there. Certainly a good revenge source for little involvement. The stairs are very tricky especially when taking luggage up and down. BTW. I'm a retired former Airbnb super host for 6 years.
