The history of the hotel and the upgrades done to make it very comfortable
Shower was difficult to operate and bed was a bit wobbly but surroundings made up for any shortcomings

In the centre of where we wanted to be.Breakfast was the highlight.
Could have been better value for money,but had only the Swan as competition.The pub bar was very noisy at times but at least the rooms were sound proofed.

Ate in the bar, food was good. Room was spacious and comfortable.
No WiFi in the room. Extractor fan from the kitchen runs through the room until 11pm, then from 0730 - it is noisy! Bathroom was good size with heated towel rail, but appears to be unfinished. Some of the lights didn't work, bedside reading lamp and the entrance light.
