Comfortable and very well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Quiet.
I received so many emails that didn’t seem to offer much information, but I somehow overlooked the one explaining how to access parking. As the street itself was a tiny cul de sac, with parked cars, it was rather stressful unloading luggage initially and I parked in the town car park, not realizing there was an allocated place much closer to the cottage.
Having to reset the heating regularly was annoying and actually the cottage was a little cold. It would have been nice to have had a way of increasing the heat.

Great location as we could walk to all the local attractions, places to eat and the river. Very cosy cottage with everything we could have needed for our stay.

The Location is very close the Hay Castle, located at a quiet street just a corner away from the all the fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops. Very easy to navigate. The cottage is very cozy and homelike, all the stuff are provided, kitchen is surprisingly well maintained, stocked with utensils, cooking equipments and many tablewares. The bedrooms are extremely cozy and the beds are so comfortable. I had very good sleep.

Perfect location. Superbly well kitted out and very well decorated.
Very warm and cosy.
Lots of lamps for ambient lighting in the house (eg useful to keep small light on at night to help with illuminating stairs / way to downstairs bathroom).
Cosy fireplace with electric ‘wood look’ fire for extra warmth and atmosphere. Nice touches such as Welsh woollen blankets on beds / sofa.
Very comfortable beds.
My elderly Mum had the larger bedroom (and was able to manage the stairs) and I had the smaller double. Nice touches in the smaller room to compensate for the size, such as small hanging rail with hangers on the beam, wooden clothes rack, small chest of drawers.
Loved being able to walk straight from house and be in the centre of Hay.
