A peaceful, well-hosted home and one of our Ubud highlights

Everything! The home was calm, peaceful, and beautifully rustic. The host was kind and communicated clearly. Beds were comfy, and I especially loved the bathroom, especially the scent of the shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash. Also, breakfast was always sumptuous and fresh, cooked and served by the homeowner himself and his staff. We enjoyed the spacious veranda with views of surrounding greeneries. All in all, being at Artist Eco Villa was one of the highlights of our vacation in Ubud :)

It was not centrally located (about 12 minutes car ride) so we had to take a cab everyday to go to the city center—but that's a small setback, considering the serenity of the space we would go back home to at the end of every day :)

Quiet relaxing stay

Nyoman was a lovely host and took particular care to find out what we needed in preparation to come to Bali and the house in particular. The house is more of a home with particular attention given to details like having books to read of different genres, facilities like washing machine and clothes rack, a place to sleep, a place to lounge in etc. The breakfast was made with care and love and although the choices were limited to 5, it didnt feel short of options. Some good restaurants, laundry and massage centres within walking distance

A bit short of creature comforts that you find in good hotels but that is not what the property is selling at that price. Here, you are getting into a home. The pool was clean but a bit cold to get into but that is more related to Ubud being a bit cooler than rest of Bali. The place was a bit far away from central Ubud but ideal location if you want a bit of quiet

A beautiful place to rest and relax. I'd love to go back.

The owner was very friendly. The house was clean and beautifully decorated, combining traditional Japanese and Balinese styles. It's open and nestled into a beautifully maintained garden. There's a lovely small swimming pool next to the house. Delicious breakfasts, prepared by the owner and beautifully presented. I recommend it for a short or longer stay in Ubud.

Exceptional in every way

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. Created and built with eco friendly materials and human warmth we instantly felt welcome and relaxed at Noka House. Nyoman, the host is a very kind, sincere man who was very generous with his time. He provided excellent directions for our arrival and met us at the property. Throughout our stay he was always available if we required anything but never intrusive. Every morning Nyoman and Wuyan, the housekeeper, came in to cook the best breakfasts we had during our entire holiday. Our son enjoys cooking and they kindly taught him how to cook the Nasi Goreng and let him assist with the breakfast preparation, a highlight of the trip for our son. The Kecak fire dance at the local temple was a fun, interesting evening out. The house is located a short distance from Ubud centre but it was very quick and easy to get Grab taxis when we wanted to explore further afield. There are a couple of good local warung restaurants close by and small shops for basic provisions and also plenty of food delivery options. We were all very sad to leave Noka House and we would love to visit again. Thank you, Nyoman, Wuyan and Oreo (the friendly cat)

Wonderful stay.

True Balinese open villa. Our family 4 adults, 2 children loved everything, their rooms and own bathrooms were great. The pool is smallish but wonderful, especially in the rain. Beautiful greenery with climbing orchids, making it so private. Lying in bed with open shutters listening to frogs and bird life is magic. We used taxis to get to centre Ubud but restaurants, cafes, and small grocery stores are just along the road. We loved our stay and would come back. Nyomen, the owner was very helpful, and we went to his local temple to watch fire dancing. The kids loved that especially. Thank you.

A perfect getaway surrounded by nature !

This property is amazing !! The privacy and position were perfect. The pool and layout of the house suited our whole family ! The host was kind and attentive to any needs ! The breakfasts they made every morning were amazing

Very clean, the layout of the house makes it very cool and breezy compared to outside. Nyoman was very welcoming and helpful, even assisting us with a last minute taxi to the airport. We loved our stay at Noka House. Nyoman, his family and housekeeper Wayan were all so lovely and couldn't have been more hospitable and welcoming. The house had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was lovely having the pool to cool off in. We were 4 adults and a 9 month old baby and it was perfect. Thank you Nyoman!

Seemed like a step into a bygone era……. truly a memorable stay

The concept. Classically and essentially Balinese in every way as far as I know. Open home layout with a nature friendly setting. Artistically created and it really shows that the proud owners have put a lot of thought into this property. Near to Ubud village yet far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Communication with the owner was smooth right from the start. Although the property is a little hidden, Pak Nyoman anticipated this and gave clear instructions to the house right from the beginning and ensured we had a smooth check in. Breakfast was made to order from the options given and done to perfection.

Home away from home

We couldn't reach at our arrival time but the friendly neighbors contacted Nyoman and he was there in no time. What you see in the pictures, you probably would get more than that. The place is overlooking a forest which was a great sight. It's so nice to see that Nyoman has really put his heart and soul in the house, the details, the tidiness and the hospitality he offers is outstanding. Breakfast was delicious!! He acknowledged our requests and last minute plans without a hiccup and truly made us feel at home. Thank you Nyoman!! I would definitely recommend this place and will surely visit again. :)

La maison qu'ils ont contruit est merveilleusement bien pensée, pleine de charme et très confortable. Ouverte sur l'extérieure, nous avons appréciés l'odeur de la pluie et les bruits de la faune. Nous étions heureux d'être dans un quartier un peu excentré pour nous retrouver au calme. Toutes les commodités sont à proximité et le centre ville peut être rejoint rapidement en scooter. Il s'agissait de notre dernière étape d'un voyage de trois semaines et nous avons fini en beauté ! Merci à Nyoman et à sa famille".

Goede locatie om in Ubud te verblijven als je met een groep volwassenen bent en al te veel wil betalen.

Comfortabele slaapkamer en goede badkamerfaciliteiten, zeer vriendelijke en oprechte gastheer.

De locatie is wat moeilijk te bereiken met de auto, de doorgangen qua straten zijn erg smal. Minder geschikt voor kinderen.
