Two bedroom apartment with sea views in Mojacar Playa

El alojamiento correcto. Cama cómoda, baños en buen estado, cocina equipada. Mobiliario del salón comedor un poco usado. Terraza muy agradable. En general bien. Zona tranquila.. Piscina muy tranquila.. Se puede repetir.

This is the first time we have taken a holiday in an apartment with flights and taxi transfer booked separately rather than a package holiday. The apartment was good with the exception of the fact that it was at the top of a steep hill which was not made clear in the description which we felt it should have been. Unfortunately on the next to last night we had a boiler leak whilst we were out with the apartment living/kitchen area being flooded and we could get no response from the 24/7 emergency number provided. Once we spoke to the letting agent first thing next morning the problem was very quickly sorted out to our satisfaction. Two of the benefits for us was the lack of noisy unruly children running wild and not being tied down to hotel imposed meal times. We enjoyed our holiday and would have no hesitation in booking a future holiday in this format.

This property certainly ticks all the boxes for the fantastic view and the fact that it’s 5 minutes walk from the beach and located near some fantastic eateries, notably Case Egea , the La cabana and the Mediterráneo restaurant. Being on the 3 rd floor probably makes it unsuitable for families with pushchairs and young children, as it is quite a hike to the front door. There is a great swimming pool to the back of the property. Our only disappointment was the fact that the kitchen was incredibly basic, and the plates and pans all a bit dated, no oven gloves for example. A limited selection of glasses, no jug for making sangria! When we arrived we were left with 2 loo rolls for 3 adults for 2 weeks! We went to clean the outside table and there were no jcloths, no kitchen roll, no liquid soap, our first shop was for lots of basic household stuff that when we have previously used air b&b or home and away have been supplied. This was a disappointment, when you spend hard earned cash for a fortnight you would think these sort of basics would be included. As mentioned when using other air b&b and HomeAway properties previously these have all been included by ever willing owners. So be prepared to have to go out and buy lots of basic household stuff after you arrive!
