Dreaming Piazza Bra Rooms

The place is very well located, both near the train station and the arena. It had a lived-in feeling--reminded me of the time I stayed in a relative's old appartment in Barcelona. Other travellers had left behind their Opera cushions, so I was able to borrow them and have a comfortable time at the arena.

This place didn't have common areas or a kitchen, which meant I couldn't store milk for my breakfast. Other apparments of this type offer simple meals and such. The stay felt very expensive--for this amount, I would expect them to make/clean the room every day (which they never did, even though I stayed for a week) and more hotel-style services. What really bothered me is that there was no space to store my luggage once I had checked out. For the amount of money I spent, I would have appreciated the opportunity of leaving my luggage for a couple of hours while I went out into the city one last time. Also, I left behind something and they were never in touch with me to see if there was a means of retrieving it.

Good room for the price.

It's a bit tricky when there's no proper reception, and everything is run via WhatsApp. Fine if everything is running smoothly, but if it's not, it's tricky. A girl was very distressed outside when I arrived because she couldn't figure out how to get inside and check-in, and she said staff weren't answering her calls. All was OK in the end, just a bit stressful if no-one's around.

The location was really nice, I felt safe walking back alone even at night. Everything was very clean, communicating with the owner was easy. This was one of the most affordable places I found, everything is walkable from here! And it’s a small business which can always use your money more than the big chains :)

There’s an extra tourist tax. It isn’t much but it is a little annoying to have that extra expense. It’s an extra 3.50 a night, I stayed for 4 nights so it was an extra 14 euros. That’s the only thing to be prepared for!

Location good. One of the very few good conditions

A lot. I expected a fridge, once the outside temperature it was 34° at the shade. The host said, they not advertised a fridge at all. He still wanted and kept a private chat outside Booking, wich is probably unfair. He was being insistent and kept asking several times some extra money , 3,50 £ for taxes to pay for the municipality. I left 5 £ and I took picture of it. Next day before I left I wanted to drink a tea or coffee. No, this is not for tourists. Lots of empty water plastic bottles, 10 l or so, 2-3 with water but nobody changed the empties with full ones. The kettle 's fork was not matching the plugs from the wall. The plug accepted small forks, the kettle had big ones. Bathroom ok.
