Well worth a trip to stay by the Shannon

We had a great glamping experience as a family

My family and I stayed at this glamping site for three nights. The room we got was spacious and had an electric heater. The owner was a decent man who offered us extra extra blankets (very thoughtful of him). The facilities were clean, toilet, shower room and the kitchen. My kids loved the place, the scenic view, the animals surrounding the site, and how freely they were roaming around. It was great experience overall, and great memories we will cherish for years. Thank you Frank.

Nearest Centra shop is about 10 mins drive. Nearest Supermarkets in Kilrush about 25 mins drive, which isn’t too bad, as the Shannon Estuary Way is a very scenic route. Overall, location was amazing if you’re looking for a quiet, tranquil experience.

Very pleasant, I would stay again

Great location and very peaceful area. I loved the quietness and wholesomeness and simplicity of the site. The showers and bathrooms were spotless clean..Great to see young families playing and running around.

We had a group of 6. While accommodation for 4 members was very comfortable and quirky, my husband and I literally slept in a garden shed. It was fine but did smell a little musty. Bedclothes etc were all fresh though. It gets pretty cold at night and none of the electric heaters were working. The site could do with some maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep. It all felt a bit messy and disorganised

This was our second stay at the glamping site in Shannon Estuary and once again, it absolutely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere is simply fantastic – peaceful, welcoming, and ideal for both adults and kids. One of the highlights this time was the evening grill, which brought everyone together in such a relaxed, enjoyable way. Our children had an amazing time playing and soaking in the fresh air and freedom of the outdoors. As always, the beds were immaculate and incredibly comfortable, and the room was just the right size for our group – cozy yet spacious enough for everyone to feel at home. The bathrooms were spotless and the kitchen facilities were excellent, making meal prep a breeze. A very special thanks to Frank, the owner, who continues to be an outstanding host. His attention to detail and genuine care for his guests make all the difference. From check-in to check-out, he ensures that everyone is comfortable and has everything they need. We truly can't recommend this place highly enough – it's the perfect mix of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming rustic glamping site in Co. Clare ! The view overlooking the Shannon Estuary was simply stunning — waking up to that scenery was a real treat. The kids absolutely loved playing billiards; it kept them entertained for hours. The kitchen was impressively well-equipped with everything we needed, the toilets were spotless, which made our stay even more comfortable. The bunks were very comfy, ensuring a great night’s sleep after our adventures. The cabins themselves were beautifully maintained and spotless, and we absolutely loved the thoughtful and tasteful decorations that gave the place such a warm, inviting atmosphere. And a special mention to the owner, Frank — he is such a special, interesting, and friendly person who truly made our stay even more memorable with his warm hospitality. This glamping spot perfectly combines rustic charm with the comforts of home — we can’t wait to come back !

« Absolutely amazing » ;)

The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the countryside and the beautiful landscape with the overview of the shannon estuary, and we have loved metting authentic and really nice persons in this glamping. We ´d like to highlight the special devotion from the owners Frank and Tiago , which were always available to make us confortable and happy. Thank you again for your lovely hospitality, we spent such a good time and trully loved your kindness! We highly recommend this place!

We had a warm welcome from the owner. A very nice person who makes sure everyone feeling great. Sat at a campfire together and had fun conversation. Clean bathrooms and nice view.

At night it gets a little cold, but there is a heater. The air in the older huts smells a bit old

The pod itself was clean

The grounds were unkempt, the paths were covered over by bushes so you had to walk on the grass. It was raining during our stay, which meant wet feet/shoes all the time. There's a cat/cats- each morning the food bin in the common kitchen was upturned when we went for breakfast. Not much to do nearby. Maybe a good place to party if you're young, not for families in our experience.

Mixed feelings

Very scenic area, relaxed vibes, campsite has great potential and some of the cabins are really lovely. Shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. Hot water in all the taps. Duvets were nice and warm and heaters available in cabins.

Kitchen facilities were haphazard at best, some plugs working, some cookers working, some not... Too many cats and dogs roaming the campsite, refuse was pulled out every morning. Campsite needs more intensive caretaking even though its clear how much work the owners have put it.

A cozy place with beautiful surroundings and a pleasant atmosphere. The cottages are tidy, the equipment is designed in detail. There is also a common room and a shared kitchen. Frank is a very pleasant host who is great to talk to and happy to recommend places to visit. He is also very helpful, the night was cooler and the host offered us extra blankets of his own accord.
