Spacious with 3 bedrooms and open fire

The grass in front garden was very overgrown and when we arrived I took the dog for quick walk and unfortunately realised that it was full of sheep poo and the dog got covered in it as well as my wellies. Went into house to wash the dog and there was no electricity so no shower etc. Phoned the owner and he said power must be gone and "not much he could do about it"! We had to ask him to find out what was happening, how long it would be off etc. Power came back about an hour later which was good. Fireplace wasn't cleaned out and lighter was out of gas but luckily I had my own lighter so was able to light the fire. Huge amount of dust on blinds and window ledge in main bedroom, end of shower curtain very grubby and stained, fridge also not clean, lots of thick dust on top of door which we had to clean in case it went inside fridge, greasy hand prints on kitchen cupboards, switches etc. We stayed in lots of places in Cork, Kerry and Clare over the few weeks we travelled and the level of cleanliness in this place was well below what we experienced everywhere else.

Great family stay.

Lovely country property. Very peaceful and relaxed. Loved the hot tub as it was typical Irish weather! Games room is great. Kids loved the fire-pit for toasting marshmallows

Charming cottage in a lovely, peaceful setting

We stayed in the charming 3 bedroom cottage “lemonade cottage”. It was very well equipped and was really comfortable. It’s remote so a car is essential but also it’s wonderfully quiet. The weather really let us don’t but it didn’t stop us and the location is perfect for visits to Kilrush, Kilkee and Loop Head ( a visit to the lighthouse and cliffs is a must). We made use of the games cabin which has darts and foosball as well as other games. There’s something quite special about sitting in the jacuzzi under a canopy of trees overlooking an orchard with only the occasional sound of sheep or cows in faraway fields. Keith was great, he left us to our own devices but was close by if we needed him.

Lemonade Cottages review.

The whole Are of Lemonade Cottages was amazing 😊 The hosts werwere so friendly and always available if we neneeded them. It is also dog friendly so that really helped because it's so hard to find those nowadays. We got a beautiful house as well with a lovely kitchen and two very lovely rooms with very comfy beds. My dog also loved that. A bit of a drive to Kilrush but totally worth it with how beautiful the hosts and house was. Right smack in the countryside and that made it even more magical. They had a lovely Hot Tub which was very cozy with a games room,beside it perfect for kids. We will definitely be coming back with the dogs and Highly recommend. The house was so clean too which was lovely.

There was nothing we did not like. Highly recommend here.

A really relaxing stay in a lovely place with great hosts.

A beautiful rural location; we were there for a few quiet days. Keith and Lorraine were excellent hosts. On hand to answer questions and help in any way possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They have put a huge amount of effort and love into their project and it clearly shows in the high standards throughout the cottage. They were happy to share their local knowledge of the area and the great food available close by - Leo in Doonbeg and the pizza Lorraine collected for us on the night we arrived - both are well worth trying. The location is great for exploring the Clare area and within easy driving distances of Loop Head, Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch.

Exceptional

We (4 friends) had a wonderful weekend in the Lemonade cottages. The super cozy house full of applainces and facilities to cook a perfect breakfast/dinner! Tea, milk, sugar, coffee with coffee machine, fruits and sweet compliments were there on the arrival. Absolutely loved to see some antique and handmade furniture pieces. They look so nice! We had warm and cozy evenings in the common leaving room after whole day of hiking with wine and cheese nearby the fireplace with the boarding game. Bed was super comfortable as well, so I could highly recommend that stay! Also huge thank you to hosts. It was very pleasant and easy to communicate! Alex

Lovely people and pretty country cottages.

My sister and I were on an ancestry trip in County Clare. This location was right where we need to begin our search. it also provided a place to relax and unwind at the end of each day.

several times we were lost trying to get back in the evening since our GPS would get confused on the country lanes.
