It is ok to stay there for some days for hiking the region.

The owners were very friendly and did a lot to feel us comfortable. The view from our room was exceptional! Thr rooms are stylish in a weird, alpine way. The breakfast was very good.

It was already cold and their was no heating. The bathrooms are shared with other guests which can be disturbing. The beds were ok but could be more modern.

We had an absolutely great stay at Kals. Hosts were very welcoming, the rooms were clean and cozy. The place is calm and with great view. One might be concerned that there is just one bathroom and two toilets for all the rooms, but actually there was no issue at all. We will definitely visit again.

Great place to stay while exploring the nature around Kals.

The owners/hosts were super friendly, offering advice on everything from transportation to where we could go for dinner. They went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable and convenient as possible for us. Well-dorado also has a fun and charming, colletive-like vibe to it, inviting you to socialize with the other guests in the common areas if you wish to.

If you just need a place in a hurry...

Close to the grossglockner

The need to take off the shoes before even entering the building. And wouldn't it be better to fix the toilet instead of sticking permanent notes that the guests need to check if it flushes as it should? I got bitten bad by something during the night, and the windows were closed, still itches 3 days later.

A really nice and comfortable place to stay. The rooms are really clean and tidy, the owners are very, very nice and helful. The place has a nice vibe to it and they serve really good breakfast.

Excellent - but nowhere near the Grossglockner Pass!

the property is a typical Alpine House - set in the beautiful mountains of southern Austria. The rooms were clean and fresh and the views from the balcony incredible. Breakfast was tasty and well presented.

My only complaint - and this is ALL my fault. we booked here thinking we were close to the Grossglockner Pass - as it’s name suggests. Unfortunately the Pass itself was nearly 2 hours away by road - round the other side of the mountain range!!

It’s a really nice location if you rate value for money! The hosts are exceptionally friendly and really want to give you a great experience. Also the city itself is relaxing and quiet.

You might want to know that the owners are really pet friendly, meaning their cute and friendly dogs are roaming the house. It may be positive for you, but is problematic for allergies. However, it was no problem for me as I already took my Anti-Histamins for my gras allergies, but it’s something you should keep in mind.

Super lovely place with great breakfast and spacious rooms

Well-dorado is a super lovely place where Christoph and his wife are truly taking good care of everyone. Huge plus is the great breakfast, that was waiting for us every morning! It was also very lovely that all needs were taken into consideration, so it's also a great place for vegans :)

Googled showed that one of the ski lifts starts 200 m from the accommodation, however, it is wrong. All the lifts start from the other side of the river. But it was not an issue though, as the slopes were still in 15-20 mins walking-distance and we could also hop on the ski bus gratis, which picked us up at the end of the street :)
