Great hostel!

The hostel was within walking distance from the railway station. Staff were helpful. Rooms were spacious clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome.

It would be great if a guest kitchen could be incorporated into the hostel.

Well kept, great staff and had everything we needed.

It was quite expensive, and the lack of air conditioning is difficult in a heat wave without any fans. That being said, we still loved it.

Location was great. Felt very modern and clean. Check in was easy and breakfast was busy. the beds were basic, but good for a single night stay. We left something behind and they were a dream with helping me get it back. Will definitely return

very spacious and clean, shower head had a water consumption meter that tells you how much water you have been consuming during your shower (cute feature), toilet is separate from shower which keeps the floor dry and clean. staff was really lovely, we came after a long overnight bus ride from Prague and arrived really early. we also felt really dirty and the staff were kind to pass us toilets and let us shower and store our luggage while we get started early on our day fresh and clean!!! big plus!

air condition unit can be seen but it felt like it was turned off throughout our stay (we asked the front desk and they mentioned it was central air conditioning unit which meant all rooms in the building were the same), we stayed during a season where the temperate outside was cool so it was comfortable for us. it might not be the best during summer or when the nights are warm. the public toilet at level -1 was a lot nicer than our room’s but it wasn’t a big deal, hope renovations in future could make both toilets the same 😅

Great hostel, with modern and comfortable setup.

This modern hostel has all the amenities of most hotels. An excellent fully stocked breakfast, sauna and fitness room. It comes complete with a view of the mountains and spacious family rooms. Its close to the train station, but you can't hear the trains in the rooms or in their outside dining patio.

The thing I was impressed the most about was service. Except for one night-guard, everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. I always get up very early, way before breakfast is served. When I went down looking for coffee, the staff nicely offered me a cup from the bar, because the breakfast coffee machines were nor on yet. Besides that, loots of advice on what to visit, etc.

For the price of the room, room amenities were not good. No daily cleaning. We ran out of soap on our 2nd day. Only 1 towel per person for 2 days of stay. No fridge. No fan or AC. Breakfast was very simple: bread, yogurt, cereal, etc.

Overpriced Hostel…Needs a proper deep clean.

The breakfast was good.

Upon removing the sheets as instructed prior to check out, we saw that the comforter was stained with what seemed to be bodily fluids. We were pretty disgusted and disappointed as the room looked clean upon arrival. We did arrived late and were exhausted so didn’t inspect as carefully as we normally do. But even if we did, the comforter had a duvet over it so we wouldn’t have known about the stain unless the duvet was removed. The stain was pretty obvious and cleaning staff should have seen it and removed it for thorough cleaning.

Perfect location, clean, short walk to the main Village centre, would definitely recommend

Perfect location, literally next to the main train and bus station in Garmisch. We travelled with two adults and two children (aged p and 6). The rooms were spacious, we had a double bed and 2 bunk beds for the kids (that they loved). Amazing views of the mountains in the morning from our room.

Nothing to really dislike. The breakfast was ok, maybe could be a bit better. The staff got a bit of grumpy one morning when we arrived slightly late. But my daughter is coeliac and they were very god at getting her fresh bread each morning which was excellent.

It’s an ok place to stay

I liked the location of the property and the layout and faculty. Very friendly staff and clean facility.

The rooms were very hot with no fans. There was also no TV (which I can actually live without) and no refrigerator which made being hot and not have the ability to get a cold drink in the room impossible without having to go downstairs to lobby. Cost was high in comparison to what you would get for the same price at a regular hotel.

clean, comfortable, great location, excellent breakfast included. included free bus pass which was nice. staff had good hiking recommendations. 6 beds in our room with a partially open bathroom area, worked well for us.

very expensive. one of the most expensive places we stayed as a family during our long trip. we had to strip the beds in the morning, no frills. the accommodations were nice but they weren’t $50/person per night nice. it was a hostel. I wish Bavaria had air conditioning, it’s been so hot!

Passable

The hotel didn´t answer our request for parking. During the check-in we left our car on the opposite side of the street - as the reception recommended. Within 5 minutes we got a police warning (55EUR) that the parking is not allowed there. The hotel didn´t help us with the situation. We also missed the TV in the hotel room.

Superb

I love the room setup for families with the 2 bunk beds and a double bed was very convenient and comfortable. All in all a great location with great amenities and a friendly staff.

The only mirror in the room was very high. I could just barely see my whole face in it ( I'm 171cm ).
