This location has some of the most pristine and lightly visited beaches on the island – it’s just a short 3 to 4 minute walk to Sugar Beach. 5 miles of beautiful, sandy, secluded beach. Or, walk directly to a small hidden beach right in front of the complex.
This is the best kept secret on Maui!
Our condo is direct oceanfront! Maalaea village is a gem with its central location and its fantastic trade winds. They provide a cooling breeze that keeps the temperatures just right. We also have a timer controlled A/C just in case the cross breeze in the unit isn't enough for you. There are ceiling fans in every room as well.
From the lanai, gaze out and watch the sun rise over Haleakala (House of the Sun), the long dormant 10,000 foot volcano. Watch green sea turtles bobbing up for air and rolling in the surf, even sunning themselves on the beach. In the winter months (Nov-April) you will have a front row seat to breaching whales as they come back to the islands to give birth and nurse their young in the warm Hawaiian waters. In the summer months during a good south swell, you can watch surfers on the legendary surf break “Freight Trains”, the world’s fastest surfable wave.
Beautifully landscaped grounds with a heated pool will make any stress you have brought with you melt away. Slip into to the pool and enjoy the ocean view while you relax in the Maui sun. This is also the only complex in Maalaea with a Jacuzzi.
The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender and all of the other essential supplies to comfortably enjoy cooking and eating in. (Even a Keurig for you coffee lovers!) There is also a great BBQ area oceanfront so you can enjoy the view while you cook.
Our Master Suite has a king-sized bed with a brand new mattress.
Our bathroom is beautifully tiled with a clean updated and stylish look. 100% cotton bath towels and hand towels are of course provided.
Enjoy a meal on the private lanai or just sit out and enjoy the view
A 5 minute walk takes you to Maalaea Harbor where you will find a small grocery store, deli, craft market, restaurants and the Maui Ocean Center (Maui’s #1 tourist attraction), the Pacific Whale Foundation, miniature golf, shopping and most of the ocean activities available on Maui (sunset dinner cruises, deep sea fishing, snorkeling tours & whale watching).
Centrally located Maalaea, makes getting anywhere on the island easy. 15 minutes from the airport, a 5 minute drive south and you are in the long village of Kihei and a bit further, the resorts of Wailea. You couldn’t be in a better location to explore all Maui has to offer.

Condo was better than my expectations. Located in a quiet area of Maui away from crowds. Easy drive to Kehi or airport. Enjoyed the lanai especially as the day changed. Sunrising over the volcano, turtles frolicking in the surf, and colorful sunsets. A good value, highly recommend…

Wonderfully stocked condo with turtle views! We rent a lot of condos and this one is stocked. Gail, the owner, is a lovely hostess and communicates well all in the app. Easy! Condo is located in the middle of everything and a short drive to fun areas. Quiet condo building so we loved the peaceful days. Turtles popping up in the waves, easy to see from the lanai. We even saw a monk seal twice! A/C is only in the living room, not in the bedroom. We love to sleep cold so wish the ac was throughout. The tropical breeze is a wind tunnel from bedroom to living room so open the windows and it does cool. Furniture is firm and we understand why... it holds up to many guests. We however prefer a bit more cozy. A lounger on the lanai vs the bench would be amazing! The condo is not located on a beach... I love to walk the beach. There is a gate to a rocky "mini beach" area but not for sitting or walking. The condo property is nice but a bit older. Grills are old and just ok but they work ok. Pool is small but works for a lovely dip. Overall a 4.9 rating and all was lovely. We stayed a week and a half.

The condo was in a good central location with this being our first time visiting Maui, although being in the center of the island it's also not close to anything either, meaning you'll have to drive 20+ min to and from Lahaina, Wailea, etc. We picked a favorite side during this trip, so in the future we'd plan to stay on that particular side of the island and everything it's in proximity to as opposed to in the middle / equally far from everything. This is obviously no fault of the condo / host, just something to keep in mind if you plan on spending more time on one side of the island vs another.
Check-in had a slight hiccup due to the fact that the host does not upload check-in instructions in the dedicated part of the app for check-in instructions, but instead puts that info in a message sent two weeks prior to check-in. If you're looking for it there or attempt to contact the property manager for it you won't find it in either location as the property manager is not given that info either. The host was prompt in responding with the info when we weren't able to find it initially.
It was awesome having access to a cooler, snorkel gear, umbrella, etc. at the condo as we did not have to buy or rent these items during our stay on Maui. The biggest negative of the unit and the main reason we wouldn't stay there again is the fact that the A/C is powered by a timer that runs for a maximum of 4 hours at a time, meaning regardless of whether you go to bed early or stay up late any given night, at some point in the middle of the night you'll wake up hot and may not be able to fall back asleep, going about your next day on vacation sleep-deprived as we both had to. I can understand A/C safeguards so that someone doesn't just turn the A/C on and let it run for a week straight, however, as an adult and someone who has paid for use of the condo, it felt like the host did not trust you not to use the A/C in a responsible manner. For comparison, the other place we stayed at during this trip would only run when your key card was inserted, allowing you to sleep cool throughout the night but safeguarding from the A/C being run when you aren't in the unit. Not sure if this would be feasible for the host or not, but the current set up is inefficient and I doubt we would've stayed there had we known prior to booking.
That being said, the condo was very clean, had a great view, and Buzz in the lobby was very helpful with recommendations for our stay.
