Maalaea Banyans #403 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit on the top floor. It has a panoramic ocean view, a fully-equipped kitchen, window unit air conditioning in the living room and master bedroom, 3 flat-screen TVs, and free WIFI. The living room features A/C, ceiling fan, and flat-screen TV. A pair of high-powered binoculars is included for spotting turtles and whales. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, A/C, ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV, and a full bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed, ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, and a full bathroom. Bedroom #2 is above the living room and is sufficiently cooled by the living room A/C. In addition to the listed amenities, #403 also has a vacuum cleaner, Circulon cookware, a spice rack, Kitchenaid knife block, and Kitchenaid hand mixer, a set of mixing bowls, BBQ tools, a waterproof rechargeable Bluetooth speaker, and a Sharper Image 6-port USB charging station. Note: A $300 refundable security deposit is required for this unit. Sleeps 4.

Smooth check-in and pleasant stay, convenient location (15 minutes drive from the airport, 30 minutes to nearby resort areas with pleasant walking paths). Maalaea is windier than other parts so may not be the best fit for someone who is sensitive to wind gusts at night and they’re staying in the bottom bedroom. I stayed in the upstairs loft bedroom and had no issues. The downstairs bathroom sink handle was really hard to twist. Maintenance came the next day and adjusted it.

With an absolutely gorgeous view, this spot was nicely secluded and quiet with the sound of ocean waves putting us to sleep. There were sea turtles we could see from the balcony. Would be happy to return.

The view from the balcony was spectacular! The condo, not so much. The windows and door leak and howl in the wind. The bathrooms don’t have vents or windows, therefore the humidity lingers. In general, this condo is in need of a serious overhaul.
