My go-to hostel whenever I feel like having a short getaway from work. Surrounded by lots of restaurants and cafes, very lively surrounding at night. Definitely recommended!

The only thing this place has going for it is its location. It’s in the heart of Sutera, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, cafés, and massage shops. The lobby also has a water dispenser and cups, which is about the only positive I can mention. The cleanliness, however, was completely unacceptable. The shared bathroom was filthy. The floor and walls were covered with mould, making them slippery and unhygienic. To make matters worse, there was only one pair of slippers provided for everyone using the bathroom. I only realized this after I had already walked in barefoot. It was absolutely disgusting, and I immediately washed my feet afterwards. In the end, I couldn’t even bring myself to shower there and had to go to my friend’s house instead. The mattress also made me question the hotel’s hygiene standards. Throughout the entire night, my body—especially my legs—was extremely itchy. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but it certainly did not leave me feeling that the bedding was clean. Basic maintenance was equally poor. The power socket in the room was so loose that it was practically unusable. Every time I plugged in my charger, it simply fell out. This is something that should have been fixed long ago. To make matters worse, another guest was smoking in the shared bathroom despite clear “No Smoking” signs stating that offenders would be penalized. I reported this to the staff, but nothing was done. If the hotel isn’t willing to enforce its own rules, then the signs are meaningless. The shared sink area was also a mess, with guests’ toothbrushes, shampoo bottles, and other toiletries left everywhere. While this is a relatively minor issue compared to the mould and poor hygiene, it reflects the overall lack of management and housekeeping standards. Yes, the price is cheap, but that should never be an excuse for poor hygiene, neglected maintenance, and a complete lack of enforcement of basic rules. A budget stay should still meet minimum standards of cleanliness and safety. Until those issues are addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.
