The hotel is in the middle of Georgetown, everything is within walking distance. The only cons is the water heater seems broken

Our best hotel during the trip. Aesthetic, clean, conveniently located, all basic amenities available. We would have loved to see the street view through the window but the windows were sealed and had fluted glass so we couldn’t see outside. But generally the room was amazing.

The room is really spacious and comes with a fantastic courtyard that's perfect for hanging out! Plus, it's nice and clean, so you'll feel right at home.

1. The room’s facilities are outdated, the hygiene is terrible, and the decor is completely different from what’s advertised online. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. 2. There’s a food court right downstairs, and there are karaoke bars nearby—which should be a good thing, but the room’s windows have extremely poor soundproofing. It’s bad enough during the day, but at night, the heavy bass from the nearby karaoke is even more terrifying than the daytime noise. Normally, after spending the whole day out and about, you’d expect to sleep soundly at night, but I can tell you—no matter how exhausted you are, you simply won’t be able to fall asleep here. The heavy bass thumps against your eardrums from 10 p.m. straight through until 3 or 4 a.m. 3. On my first night, there was no Wi-Fi all night long, and no one was at the front desk. The front desk staff only work until 8:00 p.m.; after that, you’re on your own. 4. There are quite a few switches by the bed, but the main light switch isn’t among them, so you’re forced to get out of bed every time to turn off the lights. 5. The sink is super small, and the drain is super slow—probably a bit clogged. You have to wash your face in short bursts and wait a bit in between, or else it’ll overflow. 6. Here comes the scariest part—the one you need to be most careful about. On the first day of my stay, a young guy (Jason), who’s of mixed Indian and Chinese descent, introduced himself as a partner in the hotel. He said they run an Airbnb and a bar here. Right when I checked in, he made up an excuse to borrow Malaysian ringgit from me, promising to pay me back the next day. The first time, I lent him the money out of kindness, but that very same night he started asking to borrow Singapore dollars (at that point, I realized he must be a scammer—I figured any money I lent him would be nearly impossible to get back). In short, he kept asking for money—he’d even knock on your door repeatedly to ask for more. No matter how many times you refused, he’d persistently try to butter you up and use any opportunity to ask for more. When I asked him to repay the money he borrowed on the day of check-in, he made all sorts of excuses (saying he’d do it “right away,” sending a photo of his wallet—bulging with his “just-received bonus”—claiming he was “busy with work” or “preparing for his birthday tomorrow,” and so on). Anyway, there’s still been no word. It’s a transfer that would take just a minute, but he simply refuses to do it. There are too many details to go into here. Everyone, please be careful.
