One Shot Arago

This hotel was clean and conveniently located around the corner from shops, restaurants and the famous Casa Batllo house. Also a short walk to metro and gothic quarter. Only improvement would be hooks or place to lay clothing/toiletries in bathroom.

Excellent location - perfectly located near shopping area and metro station. The double room is big enough for 2 person. The most attractive designs are the balcony of the room and the makeup room next to bathroom. The free supplies of coffee, tea and still water are great for travellers. Overall, a solid choice with great walk ability and nice street views.

The location is very convenient. It's only 4 stops from the airport T2 train station. When I came out from the train/metro stop, I saw Gaudi's casa Batillo. What a beautiful surprise! The hotel is only a few steps from the station. And the hotel is on the road between two main streets: One is elegant shopping street full of boutiques and the other has the beautiful pedestrian walk called Rambla Catalunya, where there are many outdoor tables of restuarants and coffee shops. The hotel is small but it has the charm of elegant building of that area. My room was on the first floor. (actually it's the second floor) next to the small simple lounge for guests , where you can have complimentary water and coffee. The room was well cleaned and quite spacious for one person. The only down side was there was the unpleasant smell when I opened the door. I can't say whether it's the smell from the water drain ora cleaning detergent. I kept the window open a bit and then the smell decreased a bit but still there was. But it wasn't too serious to disturb my stay. I think it would be good if the hotel puts a room diffuser of delicate fragrance. The staff was very kind and always available to help me. It was my first trip to BCN and I really liked this beautiful and clean city with rich culture. And definitely I am going to book the One Shot Arago when I plan my 2nd trip to BCN in the near future.

the hotel has no kettle, slippers, box tissue -- u need to provide that on your own-- but they provide free flowing coffee, tea, hot choco at reception-- the hotel has great location its just in front of gaudi house and easy access to metro and lots of convenience store for water-- but the price per night, whch is more than fee for 5 star in asia, does not commensurate with the services it provides. overall, i would still stay here again.
